Academic achievement and physical and mental development are the most important development tasks for primary school students.The level of academic achievement will not only affect pupils' self-confidence and sense of achievement,but also relate to their future growth.The main factors that influence pupils' academic achievement include two factors,namely,self factors(intelligence factors,non intelligence factors)and environmental factors,such as family background,school environment and so on,and hope is one of the most important self factors influencing students' academic achievement.Although foreign scholars have a wide range of empirical researches on the hope and academic achievement of students,there are few domestic researches and they focus on the study of the function of mental health and social adaptation.However,there is no empirical study on the relationship between pupils' hope and academic achievement in the literature review.This study first used the Children's Hope Scale and Learning Self-Efficacy Scale to survey primary school students,to understand the current level of hope of primary school students and their learning self-efficacy characteristics of the status quo;then,targeted design and implementation of group counseling,In order to enhance pupils' hope and academic achievement.Conclusions are as follows:(1)The level of hope of primary school students is at medium level,and the level of self-efficacy of learning is above the middle level.(2)There is no significant difference between primary school students' hope and learning self-efficacy in sex and only children.(3)There are significant differences in primary school students' hope and learning self-efficacy in grade,class cadres and parents' education.(4)Primary school students' hope group counseling intervention can significantly improve the level of students' hope.(5)The primary school students' hope that group counseling intervention has an obvious improvement in learning self-efficacy and academic achievement,and the improvement of hope level have a positive impact on primary school students' learning self-efficacy and academic achievement.
