The unit instructional design of mathematics,which based on the overall idea,aims to improve the students' key competence of mathematics.It reorganizes the content of each unit to optimize the dynamic teaching design.Based on the practical teaching experience,we investigate the preparation status,emotional attitudes,learning methods and habits of the ninth-grade students according to the previous studies and interviews with teachers and students in the school where the research has internship.It is found that there are some problems exciting while the students learning the Quadratic Function,such as instead of understanding the usage of it,the students just know the name.By studying the curriculum standard and consulting literature references,the characteristics of the textbooks,published by East China Normal University,PEP and Beijing Normal University are respectively compared.Starting from the six key teaching elements in the unit teaching design,the thesis not only analyze the background,essence,culture and the thoughts of Quadratic Function,but also analyzed mathematics itself,the curriculum standards,teaching materials,target students,the difficult points of teaching,as well as the teaching methods.Besides,the teaching contents are adjusted and reorganized,as well as the matching teaching plans are carried out.The unit instructional designs are based on the following four modules: “Recognition of Quadratic Function”,“Images and Properties of Quadratic Function”,“Application of Quadratic Function”,and “Quadratic Function and Quadratic Equations”.The basic concept of the design is to horizontally and longitudinally help students understand the concept of Quadratic Function so that they can grasp the image properties of Quadratic Function,gradually establish the interaction between quadratic function and equation,inequality,a function,and open the vertical and horizontal links of junior high school mathematics knowledge,improving students' analysis,comprehensive ability to solve problems.
