Principles of Chemical Reaction(PEP edition)plays an important role in the process of teaching chemistry in senior high school,which is not only the foundation of theoretical knowledge acquired in chemistry in senior high school,but also helps to extend knowledge of compulsory 1 and compulsory 2.Assessment for learning Principles of Chemical Reaction accounts for a large proportion of about 40%of the final mark in the college entrance examination.But Principles of Chemical Reaction featured with abstract content and theory,and each session builds on knowledge from previous sessions,like an upward spiral.The exams are flexible and the course requires thinking skills,so students always have difficulty in getting an understanding of the content in the course.Therefore,these difficulties lead to differences in learning ability,while coping with the difficulties in the curriculum is essential to help students build confidence,develop chemical thinking,optimize chemistry teaching and promote students' learning efficiency.On the basis of a certain research on instructional theory,this topic regarded senior-class science from Hengyang No.8 Senior High School Human province as research object of questionnaire.From the perspective of students,this paper determined specific difficulties,and analyzed the reasons why difficulties occur:the teaching material has content so that it is difficult for students to understand;knowledge system is disordered so that students may be easily confused;Teachers are not sure about the learning condition;The students'non-intelligence factor,learning ability and psychological condition are not good.Finally,based on the principle that theory guides practice,it combined with teaching experience of excellent teaching staff around and our own actual teaching practice,tentatively putting forward the strategies to break through the difficulties in leaming Principng of Chemical Reaction:to elaborately design classroom and improve the classroom efficiency(A.to expand thinking skills and focus on teaching materials B.to select example and concentrate on solutions C.to classify special topic and develop ability);to optimize the non-intellectual factors of students;to improve students' learning ability;to pay attention to the psychology of students,etc.The paper also expounded many practical teaching cases.The practice indicates that these strategies are beneficial for students to deal with the difficulties in the course and improve their academic performance,but they also have some shortcomings and need continuous practice to improve them.
