Academic achievement is a very important medium to measure students' cognition on certain aspects.Students' academic performance is influenced by many factors,including individual factors,but also influenced by external factors,such as family,school and society.Family is the first environment for children to grow up,so it plays an extremely important role in children's growth and development.The purpose of this study is to study the relationship between the family background and academic performance of junior middle school students and to improve the academic achievement of junior middle school students through the improvement of family background.Based on the theoretical research,the author classifies the family background of junior middle school students into the objective family background(including parental education level,parental occupation)and subjective background of the family(including parental educational expectation,parent-child communication status,family education method,and family relationships),and on the basis of the previous relevant research questionnaires,the survey questionnaires were compiled.The author took 481 junior middle school students from three schools in a district of H city,Hebei province as the survey object,distributed questionnaires to them,and recovered them on the spot.The author used Excel and SPSS19.0 statistical software package to enter,process and analyze the data.Based on the results of the survey,the author developed an interview outline to interview some students and their parents.On this basis,the conclusions of this paper are drawn.The main structure of this study is: The first part is the introduction.It mainly analyzes the topic of this paper.The second part is basic theoretical research.It mainly defines the concept of family background and academic achievement,and further elaborates the theoretical basis of the study.The third part is research design and processing.This section mainly introduces the research analysis framework and methods used in this study.The fourth part is the analysis and discussion of the survey results.Based on the analysis of the status quo of the family background and academic achievements of junior high school students,the author draws the following conclusions: In the objective background of the family,the level of parental education and parental occupations have a significant effect on the academic performance of junior middle school students.,And father's education level and mother's occupational type have greater influence on junior high school students' academic performance.In the subjective background of the family,parents' academic expectations,career expectations,and learning expectations of children have a significant impact on junior high school students' academic performance.In addition,parental education methods,parent-child communication,and family relationships all have significant effects on junior high school students' academic performance.This also validates the hypothesis of this study.The fifth part is the research conclusion and educational countermeasures.Based on the analysis of the influence mechanism and its influence reasons,the author concludes the research conclusions of this article,and puts forward education measures to promote junior high school students' academic performance improvement from the family level and the school level,so as to improve students' academic performance.Finally,we summarize the deficiencies of this study and put forward the bright prospects for future research.
