Study On Countermeasures Of School Violence

As a public health problem,school violence poses serious threat to students'health,campus safety,and social stability.Lots of measures have been carried out to deal with this problem by government and schools.However,school violence has not been effectively curbed.It seems the governance of school violence is difficult to achieve.Is there any problem or deficiency in current measures?This article takes Xiamen city as an example,obtains primary data of school violence about middle school students in Xiamen by questionnaire surveys,and policy texts of school violence governance through interviews.This article include five parts,there are data analysis,exploring the causes of school violence,listing countermeasures of school violence,analyzing countermeasures,and making suggestions for improvement.When using Travis Hirschi's social bond theory to explore the causes of school violence and the defects in existing measures,this paper has found several problems in school violence governance.Firstly,schools lack guidelines when dealing with school violence.Secondly,there is no alert and reporting system when school violence happens.Furthermore,the reasons behind the incident are not taken into account when dealing with school violence.Additionally,native families are absent from school violence intervention,and countermeasures are insufficient when take the same approach to different kinds of students.Finally,the management of network environment lacks the application of information technology.According to the findings,this paper puts forward some suggestions for improving the countermeasures of school violence in China.
