In recent years, the number of international students studying in China has continuously increased, especially in developing countries. One of the consequences of cross-cultural background is that they are difficult to integrate into their society.Robert Ezra Park,a well-known American sociologist and one of the pioneers of communication theory, the study of Park in the 1920 s and 1930 s found that newspapers and periodicals were a contributing factor to the integration of immigrants into American society. With the spread of increasingly international exchanges, how does media use affect the social integration of international students of developing country in China? How deep is the degree of influence? This is a problem that this article studies. The work employs qualitative and quantitative research methods.Totally 200 international students of developing country in Nanchang University are selected randomly as the research samples and semi-structured interviews with 10 of these international students(About 600 international students of developing country,162 valid questionnaires). The results of research show that there is a significant positive correlation between the use of media by international students of developing country and their social integration. The use of media has a positive effect on the social identity and social relations of the international students(?=0.871,0.856,P<0.05).Therefore,raising the level of media use will help raise the social recognition of students from developing countries in China and help international students build a social network in China. This has provided us with new ideas for doing a good job for international students and improving their social integration.
