Malaysia is a country founded by a number of ethnic groups;every nation has its own unique culture.Since the year of Independence of Malaysia in 1957,the government had been committed to promote the diversity of nationalities in the aspects of education,religion and culture.The Malaysians are all respecting the cultural differences among each other and live harmonies.Nowadays,Malaysia has a complete education system.It is the responsibility of the government to provide education for the citizens.As Chinese language is not the official language,some government-based secondary schools had change to become independent school.All the students from the independent school have to bear the school fees by themselves.As students who choose chinese independant school as their secondary education may have different education background such as:chinese primary school,national primary school,international primary school and international student who come from Korea and China.No matter learning or teaching under multicultural environment,adjustments will be need undoubtedly in order to overcome the difficulties occurred.Students of Sabah Tshung Tsin Secondary School have to sit for the public examinations which held by government and also the Unified Examination which held by the United Chinese School Committees's Association of Malaysia(Dong Zong).The implementation of this education system will surely bring more challenges for both students and teachers in their learning and teaching life.This thesis has tried to find out the current learning situation of the commerce stream students by using Sabah Tshung Tsin Secondary School as model.These will provide some useful advices to the commerce stream teachers in our country who has faced the same problem,so that the teachers will understand more on the qualities and conditions that they need to fullfilled in order to adapt to the new curriculum formation.This research will focus on the current situation and the analysis of the learning and teaching of commerce students under the environment of multicultural education by means of literature methodology and interview.After the summarizing the definition of multicultural concept both in local and foreign country,the finding shows that teachers are teaching under the bad circumstance such as:teaching in the absence of adequate teaching resources.On the other hands,students are learning in a multicultural environment which is lack of a well education policy and been keep changing in their policy in recent years.In view of the above problems,it is suggested that the strategy of multicultural teaching should be improved by concern from the school,teachers and students.This will assure the improvement in the students' learning efficiency and the professional level of teachers.
