The aim of science education is to improve students' scientific literacy.Scientific literacy,as an overall system of scientific knowledge,scientific ideas,scientific methods,and scientific spirit,is rich in content.Scientists are the main creators of scientific knowledge and concentrated exemplifiers of scientific literacy.Students' views on the image of scientists can reflect their understanding and attitude of science.This research had reviewed the existing researches on the image recognition of scientists in research fields at home and abroad.Based on the application of multiple research methods,the theoretical framework on the image of scientists from the perspective of social relations of scientists was constructed.A questionnaire of the related issue was designed and the surveys had been conducted to the middle school students in China.Information on the students' image recognition among middle school students was obtained.This study believed that middle school students' knowledge of scientists should be multi-layered,rich,and profound.Not only does it stop at the shallow view of the appearance and personality of scientists,but also places more emphasis on scientists'scientific practices.In particular,focusing on practices had become an important topic in science education.The scientific practices of focusing on scientists must not only focus on the individual's thinking process,but also on the interaction between scientists and other people and the social environment.Traditionally,scientific research is a lonely process.This statement takes note of the process of individual creation of scientists,ignoring the indispensable forces formed by microscopic media such as external factors.Therefore,this study is devoted to the study of students' views on the social relationship of scientists.The research obtained a series of conclusions,including theoretical conclusions and empirical conclusions.The theoretical conclusion is to conclude the content,meaning,and characteristics of the social relationship of scientists through literature summarization.The empirical conclusion is obtained about high school students' status quo through questionnaires,including high school students have basic understanding of the social relations of scientists,but not comprehensive and profound;high school students still have some inherent image of scientists,but also broke the some stereotyped influences;high school students' social relations with scientists are influenced by many factors such as gender,grade,family background,and academic performance.The paper is divided into five chapters to illustrate the entire specific research process.The first chapter is the "introduction" part of the dissertation.It mainly discusses the origin of the research and the significance of the research.It also confirms the starting point of the study through literature review,and discusses the content,ideas and methods of the study.The second chapter is the theoretical basis of research,including the interpretation of key concepts such as "scientists","image recognition","scientific practices" and "social relationship",and the discussion of science and society based on the research of scientific sociology and philosophy of science.The important ideas and development process of the relationship.Finally,from a theoretical perspective,we must understand the social relationship between scientists in both macro and micro aspects.The third chapter is the design of empirical research.This chapter mainly discusses the design of research tools,the selection of research objects,and the implementation process of research.This study selected interviews and questionnaires to conduct research on middle school students,and explored and verified the questionnaire structure using exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis.The fourth chapter is the analysis of the research results.This chapter makes a detailed analysis of students'cognition from various dimensions,and analyzes differences in gender,grade,and achievement,parental background.The fifth chapter is the discussion and inspiration of the research results,and points out the innovation and deficiencies of this research.
