Many high school teachers teach students to learn mathematics in this way:First,classify the mathematic problems of each chapter,and then remember the solutions to each problem.After the students master enough problems and methods,they are required to do numerous exercises to improve the proficiency,and then there will be no problem in the college entrance examination! With the continuous implementation of new curriculum reforms and the promotion of "student-centered" quality education,the students in many super-sized.schools and classes are just like small "parts" of"examination-oriented education factories".However,with the rapid development of science and technology,the talented personnel is not only diligent,but also being able to solve the problems with the help of others or by oneself.The high school stage matters a lot for the students in life.I believe mathematics itself is of little significance to most people.The key to learning mathematics is to cultivate the logic thinking of solving problems.With the basic thinking such as"translation","specialization" and "gazing at the target",students can solve most problems in examinations.If the teacher can guide students to understand"generalization","analogy","further problem modifying","induction and conjecture,""step back,try again" and other thinking methods,not only can students stand out in the college entrance examination and competition,but also it can enable them to apply the thinking methods of solving math problems to future life and work.The famous Japanese math educator Miyama Ginzag once said:"Students who learn mathematics at school will have no chance to use it after graduation They will soon forget about a year or two later.However,no matter what kind of work they do,they have the spirit of mathematics engraved in the mind,such as the way of thinking in mathematics,the method of study and reasoning,and the focus of looking at problems,etc.which will take effect at any time and benefit them for the rest of their lives."Having been engaged in high school mathematic teaching and observed many classes by experienced teachers for nearly seven years,I found that Variant Teaching is the most practical and commonly used teaching method in high school mathematics teaching.Many experts at home and abroad have conducted theoretical research on Variant Teaching,but relatively few practical studies have been conducted.This article explores the use of Variant Teaching in high school from three aspects——mathematical concepts,mathematical skills,and mathematics thinking methods.It fully analyzes the principles,connotations,effects and prospects through a series of teaching examples in order to improve my teaching practice,and hopefully to inspire many other teachers.
