With the continuous of our country,the domestic and international environment is becoming more and more serious,and the requirement for maintaining national security is getting higher and higher.Xi jinping general secretary in 2014 for the first time put forward the overall national security concept,the following year,the standing committee of the National People's Congress examined and approved the state security law,will every year on April 15,as a "national safety education day".In the nineteenth report,we directly stressed the need to strengthen national security,education,and enhance the national security awareness of the whole party and the people.College students are the backbone of socialist construction and an indispensable part of China's construction and development.At the same time,the university period is the student through the formation of important period,it is also an important step into citizens,the system of college students' national security education,can effectively cultivate college students' consciousness of national security;Cultivating college students' consciousness of national security in the long run can directly improve the national consciousness of national security,national security consciousness,help to better safeguard the national security,and national stability and social harmony can better promote the development of the socialist cause.It is well known that after a long period of education college students have had a basic national security awareness,a strong sense of national security.But on the other hand,college students the basic knowledge of national security is lacking,the understanding of the overall national security is not enough,and are less able to safeguard national security,and cannot meet the demand of the national development and the test of time,so need to strengthen college students' national security awareness cultivation work.We define a new era of college students' consciousness of national security connotation and denotation,and from knowledge(rational cognition),emotion(emotional attitude)and meaning(will and ability).Causes of the above problems: firstly,colleges and universities do not pay enough attention to national security education;Second,the publicity of the overall national security concept is not in place;Thirdly,the cultivation of national security awareness of college students is mainly based on knowledge teaching,and the practice training is not enough.Fourth,the lack of special national security education teachers;Fifth,the national security education of college students lags behind the development of the times.To solve above problems,we from the following four aspects to strengthen college students' national security awareness cultivation work Suggestions: one is attaches great importance to the national security education,improve the mechanism of the national security education system in colleges and universities.That is to emphasize the importance of education in national security,to build a systematic education system for national security,and to provide effective guarantee through various teaching forms and education channels.Second,to create a campus atmosphere and strengthen the national security propaganda education.That is,we should do a good job in publicizing the overall national security concept,implant education into the construction of campus culture,and strengthen the construction of the main position of public opinion.Third,we will improve the guarantee mechanism,strengthen the construction of the national security education faculty,and improve the work of national security education for college students in all aspects,from financial support to teacher development.Fourth,integrate education resources and build a practical platform for cultivating national security consciousness of college students.Is to make full use of good students groups in college students' national security an important role in education,and to enrich college students' national security education practice means,to stimulate students' autonomous learning interest,improve students' ability to safeguard national security.
