Chemical conception is the basis of the knowledge system of chemistry discipline,and plays an important role in the teaching material of chemistry.However,as the chemical conception is a more advanced modality of thinking which is separated from phenomenon,it is quite abstract and complicated,so the study of the chemical conception teaching is a heated topic for a large number of related researchers all the time.Chemistry Curriculum Standards comes up with the requirement in the aspect of suggestion implementation,“Respect and meet students developing needs,make use of various teaching methods and tools,guide the students to study actively and master the most basic chemical knowledge and skills.” Mind mapping presents cognitive structure in the way of visual imagery,simulating the neural network structure of human brain so as to help boost people’s memory.Therefore,this study combines the mind mapping with chemical conception teaching,transferring the theoretical application of the mind mapping into practical study in class,to discuss the influence of mind mapping on chemical conception teaching and to develop students’ core literacy.This paper mainly consists of the following five parts:Part one is the introduction,bringing up the background,content,meaning and methods of this study.Under the background of developing students’ core literacy,that is,their knowledge skills and attitude as well as their life-long study abilities,this study analyzes the current research status of chemical conception and mind mapping along with the application of the mind mapping to chemical conception teaching by the methods such as the literature method,observation method and interview method.Part two is the definition of core conception,studying the definition of chemical conception and existing teaching strategies by literature method.Besides,this part will also look up the origin and development of the mind mapping,elaborating the application situation of the mind mapping in teaching so as to provide theoretical basis for practical research.Part three is the preparation period of mind mapping in conception teaching.By observing the teachers using mind mapping in class and interviewing them about the application and then training the students to use mind mapping and,this paper will analyze the first-line class experience in order to improve the application effect of the mind mapping in class.Part four is the practical section of mind mapping in conception teaching,sorting out the chemical conception in the Principles of Chemical Reaction to provide materials for practice and applying the mind mapping to chemical conception teaching according to the relative teaching theory.There will be some content designed to test students before and after using the mind mapping and interview them,and then this paper will analyze the survey results and summarize in accordance with teachers’ evaluation on class and on students’ behavior in class during each period.Part five is the summary and outlook.By concluding the research and reflecting the matters needing attention while using the mind mapping as well as the shortcomings of this research,this paper hopes to provide reference for chemical conception teaching and enhance the students’ core literacy.
