To learn chemistry well,the most important thing is to understand and master chemical reaction equation.However,chemical equation in high school is excessive as well as relatively scattered.Besides,most students adopt a mechanical and rigid method to learn it,so it is easy for them to ignore the connection among the chemical equations.The great trouble in understanding and mastering the chemical equation has a extreme influence on their learning about the whole chemistry.So it is very necessary to explore the useful and effective methods for grasping and understanding the chemical equation.Mind mapping is a learning method that takes the visual graphics to organize and present knowledge intuitively and vividly.Although the chemical equation seems complex and scattered,there are actually a certain connection.As the mind mapping can record the process of knowledge and mind,it is a good way to learn and grasp the chemical equations by using the visual graphics in the mind mapping.As my paper is just a preliminary test and exploration on this method.This study selects the freshmen in high school as the research object and takes the practical use of mind mapping in chemistry study as content.By adopting the literature review,questionnaire survey,interviewing and observation method,the paper has solve the following problems.At first,the paper makes a deep analysis on the current study of the connections between mind mapping and the chemistry teaching by collecting the related documents at home and aboard.Secondly,the paper defines the related concept and makes a elementary exploration in designing a set of rules and methods about mind mapping.Thirdly,staring from the teaching as well as learning,the paper examines the teaching practice by teachers' demonstration in classes,groups' work in drawing the mind mapping and students' independent thinking.At last,the paper examines the practical use and effect comments by way of interviewing and questionnaire.The practices suggests the following statements.First,it is helpful for students to remember and understand the chemical equation by the mind mapping.To some degree,it also attracts students' interesting in learning chemistry.Second,it is good for teachers to achieve the teaching goals and teach in the chemical equation through adopting the mind mapping.Third,it is useful for students to build a connection between the former and the latter knowledge when the teachers connect the chemical formula and chemical equation in a new class.At last,it can promote students' communication and connection by group working in drawing the mind mapping,which will definitely complete their knowledge.The paper has made a tentative study and exploration on the connection between the mind mapping and the chemical equation teaching.And the paper aims to give some references on the practical use of mind mapping in chemistry study.However,as the limitation of study's time and objects,there still need more deep and broad study in the future.
