With the development of society,Special education in China has made considerable progress.Special education is getting more and more attention.one of key tasks in special education is helping special children acquire interpersonal adaptability and fitting in the mainstream society.School interpersonal adaptation is the process that under educational intervention students adjust their own attitude and behavior to obtain good interpersonal relationship.Hearing impaired students,especially those in first grade face lots of challenges in interpersonal adaptation,and it is caused by a lot of reasons.Therefore,the research about interpersonal adaptation of hearing impaired students in first grade is essential.This research will enrich the theory and strategies in this area,and thus provide theoretical and practical guidance for deaf schools.Hopefully,we will be able to give hearing-impaired students a solid foundation in interpersonal skills,which in turn will guarantee a happier school life and achievement of their full potential.For the study,the author read relevant publications and followed up with the develo pment of newly enrolled first graders.This research is undertaken in four aspects:student-student relationship,teacher-student relationship,norms of interpersonal behavior and positive emotions in interpersonal communication.As a researcher and participant(The author is the headteacher of these students who are the study object.),the author get more details about 6 new students in this class by designing the questionnaire and interviewing parents.With consulting data and details,the author finds that hearing impaired students face complex interpersonal changes and challenges on interpersonal adaptation to primary school,including bigger interpersonal crowd,more complex interpersonal environment,more means of interpersonal communication and more norms of interpersonal behavior.Many reasons cause the interpersonal adaptation problem,consisted of internal factors such as hearing impairment and individual characteristics,and external factors such as preschool education experience,family and school environment.This study draws up and uses" The questionnaire on interpersonal adaptation to primary school for hearing impaired students(filled in by teachers)" on the basis of reading relevant scale and interviewing to parents for the investigation of interpersonal adaptation to primary school.By analyzing data from the questionnaires,the results indicate the following:firstly,hearing impaired students in first-grade from F city F province obtain good interpersonal adaptation in the school environment during the first semester.Secondly,we can help hearing impaired students get better adaptation from 4 aspects,including constructing class culture,setting entrance course,focusing on interpersonal activities in school life and improving home-school cooperation.Students can build better interpersonal relationships and adapt to school life,when we make educational and teaching process more effective to interpersonal adaptation for hearing impaired students.
