With the continuous development of the higher education for disabilities, the number of hearing—impaired college students has a significant increase. Hearing—impaired college students are a special group which has both identities of disabilities and college students. There may be worry, anxiety, depression and other negative emotional experience for hearing—impaired college students because of hearings disorders and using different language, which affects their adaptation in to learning, life and communication in university. Although some researches are carried out about mental health problem of hearing—impaired college students in China, there has been no scholar researching on the relationship between emotion management ability and school adaptation up to now. The research mainly uses survey method to explore this issue,which has certain new things. This has import significance to cultivate emotion management ability for hearing—impaired college students, strengthen their ability to adapt to school life and promote their healthy development.Through the study, we found some conclusions in the following:Ⅰ.The self-compiled Questionnaire on Hearing—impaired College Students' emotion Management Aability and Questionnaire on School Adaptation of Hearing—impaired College Students conform to the requirements of education meterage with good reliability and validity.They can be treated as the survey tools for this research.Ⅱ.The scoring situation of the emotion management ability questionnaire for hearing—impaired college students is:hearing—impaired college students'scores from Changchun university is higher than those of hearing—impaired college students from Zhongzhou University and Zhengzhou Normal University with significant differences; Scores of hearing—impaired college students who has not deaf in the family is higher than those of hearing—impaired college students who has deaf in their family with significant differences.Ⅲ. The emotion adjustment ability of hearing—impaired college students have significant differences in different schools. Hearing—impaired college students from Changchun University has higher scores than those from Zhongzhou University and Zhengzhou Normal University.The emotion perceptive ability of the hearing—impaired college students has significant differences in aspects of different schools, whether there is deaf in family and students sources.Hearing—impaired college students from Changchun University has higher scores than those from Zhongzhou University and Zhengzhou Normal University. Hearing—impaired college students without deaf in the family has higher scores than hearing—impaired college students with deaf in the family. Hearing—impaired college students from the city has higher scores than that those from the countryside.Ⅳ. The scoring situation of the emotion utilization of hearing—impaired college students is:the boys'scores is higher than girls, the scores of liberal art students is higher than science departments. The scores of hearing—impaired college students from countryside is higher than those from the city,freshmen' scores is higher than those of junior students.The scores of out-going hearing—impaired college students is higher than those of introvert hearing—impaired college students.Ⅴ. The school adaptation of hearing—impaired college students have significant differences in aspects of different years,majors and characters. Freshmen and junior students have significant differences.The scores of liberal art students is higher than those of science departments, out-going hearing—impaired college students'scores is higher than those of introvert hearing—impaired college students.Ⅵ. The environment adaptation of hearing—impaired college students have significant differences in aspects of different years,majors and characters:the scores of freshmen is higer than those of sophomores and juniors students, liberal art students' scores is higher than those of science department students.The life adaptation of hearing—impaired college students have significant differences in aspects of different schools,majors and characters. Hearing—impaired college Students from Changchun University and those from Zhengzhou Normal University have significant differences. The scores of liberal art students is higher than those of science departments, out-going hearing—impaired college students'scores is higher than those of introvert hearing—impaired college students.Ⅶ. The learning adaptation of hearing—impaired college students have significant differences in aspects of different years,majors and students sources. Freshmen' scores is higher than those of junior students. The scores of liberal art students is higher than those of science departments. The scores of hearing—impaired college students from countryside is higher than those from the city. The human relationship adaptation of hearing—impaired college students have significant differences in characters. Out-going hearing—impaired college students'scores is higher than those of introvert hearing—impaired college students.There is positive correlation between emotion management ability and school adaptation markedly. Emotion adjustment ability, emotion utilization ability and emotion understanding ability have positive effect to school adaptation, emotion adjustment ability and emotion utilization ability have positive effect to environment adaptation, learning adaptation and human relationship adaptation.
