| Autism spectrum disorder,or autism,is a pervasive developmental disorder that has a serious impact on children’s health,mainly manifested in social interaction,communication disorders and stereotyped behavior.Related studies show that children with autism clearly presents the development of the theory of psychological defects and are difficult to understand and speculate intentions,ideas,wishes and feelings of others.One of the most obvious performance is that it is difficult for children with autism to have emotional expression recognition so that children with autism cannot participate in social interaction and communication normally and often appear some inappropriate behavior or action to bring them or other people some trouble.Expression recognition is an important precondition for understanding other people’s emotions and participating in social interaction,which is of great significance for the whole development and adaptation of children with autism and their return to normal social life.Therefore,in the process of education intervention for children with autism,to find effective emotional expression cognition intervention method and strengthen the training of facial expression recognition is particularly important to enhance the children with autism social adaptation ability.In today’s world,with the rapid development of computer technology,especially the development and popularity of mobile terminals,devices and applications,human society has gone from the PC era into the mobile era.All kinds of wide variety of Applications(as known as APPs)of smartphone profoundly changed the traditional way of work,study and lifestyle and brought great convenience to the life.According to the study,compared to the human communication,children with autism are easier to accept electronic products and has greater sensitivity for computer equipment,and computer equipment can be trained without fatigue other than specially trained teachers and be repeatedly trained to achieve better intervention effect.Based on the advantages of computer-assisted education intervention,it provides a new way of thinking for intervention and empirical study on expression cognition in children with autism.This study was to explore intervention based on computer-assisted technology,applied to training effect of emotional expression cognition of children with autism,and can effectively improve the expression cognitive ability of children with autism.The main contents of this study include application development and empirical research.First,on the basis of psychological theory,situation teaching theory and visual support theory and other expression related theory of children with autism,we design and develop the application of intervention on expression cognition in children with autism based on the computer technology-APP FACEGAME.APP FACEGAME mainly includes two modules:learning resources and intervention application.The learning resources are generated by the subjects,their families,and the social situation of daily life.Intervention application is the form of gamification of choice,attachment and jigsaw provided by software.The APP FACEGAME can realize intervention and training of six basic facial expression of happy,sad,fear,surprise,anger and disgust for children with autism,and the software can record data to have in the process of intervention effect analysis.Second,the design and implementation of empirical study is through the multi-baseline experimental design across subjects to verify the effect of APP FACEGAME on the expression cognition of children with autism.The team went to a special education rehabilitation center in Hubei province for field investigation and selected the sample class.Through the primary test,four children with autism were selected as subjects,and a detailed study was planned and developed for a month.This study mainly adopts the multi-baseline experiment design across subjects of single subject experiment including baseline period,intervention period and maintenance period.Through statistical analysis of the three stages of experimental data collected by APP FACEGAME,it showed that,through intervention of APP FACEGAME,the cognition ability of subjects for the six basic expressions was significantly improved.And the parents were interviewed after the experiment and said that the expression cognition ability of the subjects could be maintained after intervention training,and in the real life,they could get a certain degree of migration and generalization.This study shows that computer-assisted technology application has broad prospect in the aspect of education with intervention for children with autism and provides children with autism with education intervention approach and new ways of thinking.In the future,we will be committed to the deep joint study of computer-assisted technology and education intervention with children with autism to provide necessary theoretical and technical support for education intervention for children with autism. |
