Study On The Feasibility Of Setting Up The Professional Master's Degree Of Cultural Heritage In China

In China,government-guided cultural heritage preservation actions have been rapidly carried out in all areas of society.With the policy support and guidance of cultural heritage inheritance,cultural heritage conservation,and its utilization,the related industries such as cultural relics and museum undertakings,cultural heritage tourism,and cultural heritage creative industries have risen along the trend.In this background,it is has great practical significance to discuss the feasibility of setting up a professional master's degree in cultural heritage in China.The professional master's degree in cultural heritage is a kind of master's degree that aims to cultivate high-level,applied cultural heritage professionals.Chinese cultural heritage discipline originated from the ancient "epigraphy" and "study of calligraphy and traditional painting";in modern times,it gradually developed into "study of cultural relics";since 2000,with the introduction of Western conception-"cultural heritage" and its theoretical system,Cultural heritage has gradually replaced "cultural heritage" as a research hotspot in the field of cultural heritage.Despite the in-depth and extensive discussions on the construction of cultural heritage disciplines,the discipline development process is still slow,especially in the postgraduate education stage.Through data collection,data retrieval and statistical analysis of the national postgraduate enrollment information in 2017,this article reviews the status quo of the institutionalization of cultural heritage disciplines in China-no cultural heritage discipline has been established in the list of disciplines in China so far;in the postgraduate education stage,the establishment of cultural heritage research under the relevant secondary disciplines is the main form of high-level cultural heritage personnel training.This situation has caused the supply of high-level graduates in the cultural heritage field to be unable to achieve regularization,large-scale,and specialization,and the development of cultural heritage and related fields has been hindered.In recent years,China's social development shows great demand for high-level cultural heritage talents.This phenomenon is firstly reflected in the development of the cultural heritage industry-the current status and problems of cultural heritage resources,protection,development,and put forward urgent needs and new requirements for high-level cultural heritage talents.Secondly,in the post-graduate education stage,the search found that the number of cultural heritage research directions ranks ahead in the total number of cultural studies,and the largest number of colleges and universities which set that research directions.This status reflects that cultural heritage talent cultivation is an important field for high-level cultural personnel training.The promotion of the construction of professional master's degree in cultural heritage is a necessary measure to accelerate the construction of high-level cultural talents groups in China;in addition,China's cultural development strategy,rural rejuvenation strategy,and a sound higher education system for high-level and applied cultural heritage talents and their professional degree construction also urgently needed,the professional master's degree in cultural heritage is an urgent need for social development and has ample necessity.
