College entrance examination liberal arts mathematics include twenty knowledge points that must be examined and two knowledge points of selective investigation.The solid geometry is the focus of high school mathematics and also one of the difficult contents in mathematics studying.Because solid geometry can develop students' ability of geometric intuition and spatial imagination,and enhance their consciousness of thinking problems by using geometric intuition and spatial imagination.But many students are often puzzled by concrete problems in the solid geometry learning.Especially liberal arts students,they are lack of foundation in the first year of high school,so in the third grade,they can't solve the problem of solid geometry and improve math performance,it's a blow to their confidence.So,how to review solid geometry effectively?This is an urgent problem for many third grade teachers.This paper is based on the questionnaire survey of 310 high school liberal arts students of third grade and 9 teachers investigated in the writer's school,which finds the major obstacles of solid geometry learning for the liberal arts students of third grade in the following aspects:poor spatial ability and drawing reading ability;short of the ability of logical reasoning;short of the ability of express the geometry language;and fear of difficult willpower.Based on the results and the analysis of the survey and some related thoughts,combining teaching practice,this thesis tries to explore the teaching strategies for the liberal arts students of third grade of solid geometry according to the demands of "Curriculum Standards",the writer supposed the following countermeasure of rectifying the obstacle for studying solid geometry:(1)strengthening the geometry recognising graph teaching in the first round review;(2)strengthening the geometry language teaching in the first round review;(3)strengthening the theorem teaching in the second round review;(4)strengthening the geometry and general method teaching in the third round review;(5)strengthening the standard answer of geometric proof.In order to help students improve their solid geometry.
