| The thesis studies the teaching situation of Chinese interest classes in the "Chinese interest class" of Hommer Pittard Campus school in Murfreesboro,Tennessee.Second language classes are rarely offered in elementary schools,"Chinese interest class" is an exception.Observations of "Chinese interest class" into the way and process of elementary education stage in the United States,could help us to find more effective ways to spread the Chinese culture and language,also help us to improve the way of Chinese teaching."Chinese interest class" is a new Chinese language course offered by the Confucius at Middle Tennessee State University.To build a new course type must meet to the requirements of the government sector of related courses,The article,on the one hand,provides the brief introduction and analysis about the present situation of the school which includes the class set,the common characteristics of teachers and students;On the other hand,the author went to many schools which also provides such courses to observers classes,as reference to combine author’s teaching experience to conclude a suitable teaching content,teaching step,teaching methods for young learners and evaluation methods for both educators during learners.Despite the survey and exploration of the “Chinese interest class " curriculum design,the author selected a"Chinese lesson interest" case,summarized the teaching feedback,in order to let readers understand the actual situation of teaching.Chinese interest courses lacks of relevant research.This article summarizes present problems of “Chinese interest class” in aspects of faculty,teacher management and curriculum design.Based on the problem,author combines the opinions of the other teachers,provides Suggestions for improvement,try to improve this kind of course. |
