The development of Elementary Education in the United States before 1965 can be divided into two stages,namely,the beginning of Elementary Education from independence to the civil war and the development of Elementary Education from the civil war to the beginning of 1965.From 1965 to 1995,the American society developed rapidly,and the American government actively carried out comprehensive innovative development of Elementary Education on the basis of the previous development of Elementary Education.In 1965,the federal government made the first large-scale intervention in Elementary Education and enacted the Elementary and Secondary Education Act to promote the development of Elementary Education through legislation.After that,the government continuously formulated education policies to make Elementary Education policies gradually meet the needs of social development.During the implementation of the policy,Elementary Education has made new development,with the main educational target increased to eight and the educational target gradually extended to the whole American people.The change of educational curriculum is mainly reflected in the curriculum diversification and curriculum differentiation.The management of Elementary Education is becoming more and more perfect,with various ways of management.The federal government is an important department of management education,which provides macro-guidance to Elementary Education through the ministry of education.Local governments manage Elementary Education most effectively through local authorities and school districts.The school carries on the direct management to the education,the principal is the important manager in the school management.Through the above efforts,the number of schools and students has increased,student performance has gradually improved,civic education awareness and quality have been improved,and the recruitment and training of teachers is also gradually improving.Elementary Education not only has a standard school system,but also has a financial guarantee for its development,which not only improves citizens' quality and educational awareness,promotes the scientific development of Elementary Education,but also promotes social progress.But there is an imbalance in Elementary Education in the United States,as well as the quality of education in different regions.
