In today,s society,the information revolution represented by the Internet is sweeping the globe,leading to new changes in social production,and constantly spurring new products,new formats,and new models.It is profoundly changing human production,life,learning and thinking,and synergy in many fields.Innovation and development have promoted.At the same time,as a social media platform under the development of Internet technology,it has also comprehensively penetrated into the political,economic,cultural,and sports fields of society,becoming the main channel for people to obtain various types of news information,and expanding political influence and economic guidance,cultural penetration,and sports cohesion have had a huge driving effect.During and after the Rio Olympics,the Chinese table tennis team was undoubtedly the hottest team in social media,spawning a group of “net red table tennis players” represented by Zhang Jike,and quickly boosting the impact of table tennis.Weibo announced in October 2016 Top 8 ranking of the Olympic hot search,Guoting swept nearly half of the position,Zhang Jike search hot even more than 400 million times proud of the top spot.In the face of such“fission”transmission phenomena,it is necessary to thoroughly analyze the spread of table tennis in social media,the dissemination characteristics,and the motivations for the spread.This has an impact on how to further expand the table tennis movement and establish a good image of table tennis.Significance.Under the guidance of relevant theories such as sociology and communication,this paper uses the Weibo and WeChat platform as the research object and adopts the technology of web crawler,interview,content analysis and mathematical statistics to analyze the present situation and the effect of the spread of table tennis in social media.Characteristics and motivation for research.The purpose of this research is to clarify the relationship between social media and table tennis,to understand the status quo and contents of table tennis in social media,to find out the reasons for the viral spread of hot table tennis information in social media,and to reveal the expansion of social media The Inner Mechanism of Table Tennis Spread.And theoretically expands the new angle of view on the study of table tennis sports communication and provides reference for opening up new
