Study On Mencius's Thought To Shape College Students' Viewpoint Of Righteousness And Benefits

As the significant group shouldering the responsibility of renaissance,the college students' view on righteousness and benefits not only matters their own growth but also profoundly influences the nation's future.Nowadays,the mainstream of college students' view on righteousness and benefits is positive,but the problems including "the knowing and practicing are separate","the sense of society is weak",which needed to be correctly guide.Chinese communist party has been paying attention to carrying forward traditional culture.As a representative figure of Confucian school,Mencius hold the view that the pursuit which is morally proper should be affirmed,and meanwhile,he proposed that people should take the morality rather than benefit as the principle in daily life,which had a profound effect on later Confucian school even modern people on the aspect of thinking and practicing the viewpoint of righteousness and benefits.As a result,deeply and dialectically analyzing Mencius's thought and taking its' rationality is necessary to conduct the moral education better in this new era.Based on the views above,the author plans to study on the value of Mencius's thought on ideological and political education to college students.There are four parts in total.Part one is about the background and meaning of this study,where the inland and abroad current situation,outline,method and the theory basis of this study are illustrated.In second part,the concepts of "righteousness","benefits","views on righteousness",and "education on views of righteousness and benefits"are explained.The author also analyzes Mencius's basic view of affirming the legitimacy of "benefits" and the priority of "righteousness",and illustrated the important functions of Mencius's thought to improve the moral education of college students.Meanwhile,the limitation of Mencius' thought is also revealed.In the third section,the situation of current college students'view of righteousness and benefits are revealed.According to the result of the study,the mainstream of college students'view on righteousness and benefits is positive,but the problems including"the knowing and practicing-are separate","the sense of society is weak".And the factors that leading to this situation could be concluded in to three parts:The firstly is the effect of the negative social environment.Secondly is the weak power of family and college education.The third is about the weak sense of self-control.In the last part of this study,the author gives new ways to take the positive part of Mencius's thought to cultivate the college students on guiding their view of righteousness and benefits in the direction of socialism core value.The author mainly take Mencius's thought and "Self-examination",and the theory of"Environment education" and "Collect righteousness to shape the characteristics".As a result,the author mentions a list of ways including perfecting the construction of class education,optimizing education environment and conducting education practice on the view of righteousness and benefits.
