The core idea of STEM education is to strengthen science and engineering disciplines with a cross-discipline and integration of disciplines on the basis of breaking the existing teaching model for divisions.The goal is to cultivate students' necessary knowledge and skills for future development.This study will combine project-based learning with STEM education,relying on chemistry disciplines in middle schools,and exploring project-based STEM project learning activities in terms of project plans,project implementation,and project evaluation.Through the student's self-evaluation scale and written feedback,it can be concluded that the project-based STEM learning activities can stimulate the students' desire to explore,enhance the students'innovative practical ability,solve practical problems,and unite and collaborate in real practice activities.At the same time,the design and implementation of the case provide lessons for the secondary school STEM classroom.Part ?.Research overview.On the basis of analyzing the background and ideas of the STEM education background,the research questions are put forward,and the development status of STEM education at home and abroad is outlined in detail,and the significance and methods of the research are proposed.Part ?.Definition of core concepts and related theoretical basis.The theoretical basis of the study was summarized by reviewing the relevant literature and incorporating the core concepts of"STEM education," "STEM literacy," "project-based learning," and "project-based STEM learning," with specific content.Part ?.Project-based construction of STEM learning activities.It mainly selects and analyzes related STEM resources in Chemistry and Life,Chemistry and Technology textbooks for the PEP and Luke editions of high school chemistry,and systematically targets,principles and operational procedures for project-based STEM learning activities.Part ?.Project-based high school chemistry STEM project learning activity design and implementation.Under the guidance of related theories,the design of STEM project learning activities was designed,and the designed cases " Love Water Resources" and "Battery Secret Agents" were implemented in middle schools.The evaluation of implementation effects was based on student self-assessment scales and written feedback.Part ?.Research reflection and outlook.Summarized the research conclusions,pointing out the deficiencies in the research process and reflections,and looked forward to the future research direction of STEM education.
