With the development of teacher specialization,teaching specialization and professionalization of teacher education,the quality of teacher education has gradually entered the public view.Teacher education accreditation has become one of the important means for quality assurance of teacher education with education supervision,education accreditation and university ranking.In November 2017,China issued the "Implementation Measures for Normal Colleges and Universities(Provisional)for the Certification of Teacher Education programs",which prelude to China's teacher education accreditation.As a new undertaking in our country,the professional accreditation of teacher education is still in the exploration stage of professional accreditation bodies,professional accreditation standards,and professional accreditation methods,and it still needs to be further improved.In the process of continuous exploration,we need to have an international perspective and learn from international experience.The professional certification of Teacher Education in Britain has started earlier.It has experienced the reform from the curriculum accreditation,the institution accreditation to the professional accreditation,which has formed a relatively complete national guarantee system of teacher education professional accreditation.At the same time,there are still some aspects to be perfected in the field of British teacher education in China.Therefore,this paper,starting with the professional accreditation of the Britain initial teacher education,explores the construction and internal logic of the accreditation system in order to sum up its experience and provide reference and reference for the accreditation work of our country.This paper is mainly from the following aspects:The first part is the introduction.From the origin of the topic,literature review,the definition of the core concept,research significance and research framework and methods,to understand the research status of British teacher education.The second part is the historical evolution of teacher education professional accreditation.This paper introduces the change of the focus of the initial teacher education accreditation during the establishment of the Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education(CATE)in 1984 and the establishment of the National College for Teaching and Leadership(NCTL)in 2013.The third part is the accreditation standards and discussion of Teacher Education in Britain.Through the deconstruction of the standard,the purpose of this study is to discuss and analyze in several aspects,such as "ought to be" and "true","teacher development" and "student growth","evaluation" and "development".The last part is the summary and thinking.This paper summarizes the experience of Teacher Education Accreditation in Britain.On the basis of "academic authority and administrative authority,the scope of accreditation and the operability of certification",this paper summarizes and discusses the experience of the professional certification of the British initial teacher education,with a view to a more objective and comprehensive view of the professional certification of Teacher Education in Britain,and the enlightenment and thinking for further research.
