The modern society is in a changing era of knowledge.The demand for talents in the knowledge age is not the amount of knowledge he possesses,but the ability to generate new ideas and apply new ideas to create new knowledge.Throughout present education situation in our country,because for a long time under the influence of exam-oriented education,as well as the restrictions on the large number of students in the class,school education still focuses on knowledge acquisition,which is reflected in the emphasis on knowledge transfer and the neglect of subjective initiative,as well as the emphasis on the output of results and the neglect of thinking processing.Knowledge Building(KB)theory is considered to have an effective meaning for knowledge creation,which emphasizes the transformation of the traditional learning with personal knowledge acquisition into the knowledge building of the goal of developing public knowledge through group collaboration.This theory up to now,has been to the initial success in Canada,the United States,Britain and other countries,but is still in testing and groping stage in our country.The research of our country still focuses on the introduction of foreign achievements and the practical application at a shallow level,and there are few highly generalized models of theoretical framework or practice mode.Therefore,this research will be based on the core of KB,as well as the present education situation in our country,to construct a new and universal teaching model.This model will be in the form of a highly generalization,to act as a bridge of teaching theory and teaching practice,in order to make contribution to the theoretical construction and teaching practice in China.Various research methods,including literature review,action research,survey research and so on,are used in this study.First of all,this study deeply inquires into the core characteristics,basic principles and process rules of KB.Secondly,based onthe theoretical content explored,combined with the actual teaching situation in our country,this study determines the design principles and design steps of this teaching model,and from the five elements of guiding theory,teaching objective,teaching procedure,teaching evaluation and teaching condition,to construct a new teaching model called “IG-GC Two Levels and Six Stages of Knowledge Building Teaching Model”.Finally,this teaching model is applied to real teaching cases,and has been preliminarily verified to be reasonable and effective through standardized tests,survey and other methods.
