Theoretical Research On The Cultivation Of College Students' Cultural Confidence

In the new era of promoting the prosperity of socialist culture,the mission of ideological and political education is to guide college students to strengthen their cultural confidence,consciously believe in and inherit Chinese culture.Essentially,cultivating college students' cultural confidence aims at achieving real cultural identity and firm cultural belief,which is an irresistible trend of Chinese culture after all its suffering.At present,there is still a mistake—superficial,uni-dimensional and incomplete understanding of Chinese culture.However,under the modern circumstances characterized by institutionalized design,quality education,and international exchange,the content dimension of ideological and political education can still be extended for the establishment of college students' cultural confidence,providing necessary academic support for the realization of new cultural mission.Starting from the fine traditional Chinese culture,Chinese revolutionary culture,advanced socialist culture and the core values of socialism,this paper reviews their specific content,value and status.On this basis,the author believes that we need to take the socialist core values as a guide,achieve the creative transformation and development of China's outstanding traditional culture,realize the modernization of revolutionary spirit and make advanced socialist culture an instruction for the time.For this reason,we need to be combined to achieve two practical process.The first practical process,starting from traditional culture,is to study Chinese culture context chronologically.In this cultivation process,the cultural confidence of college students can be firmly underpinned only though “integration” of excellent Chinese traditional culture,“modernization” of Chinese revolutionary culture,and “internalization” of socialist core values.The second practical process,proceeding from advanced socialist culture,is to look back at cultural tradition.In this cultivation process,the cultural confidence of university students can be consolidated only by firmly developing advanced socialist culture,typically promoting revolutionary culture and actively improving excellent Chinese traditional culture.The synergy of the three dimensions ensure the success of cultural confidence cultivation.
