Deaf college students are aware of different levels of social exclusion in the social,economic,educational,cultural,and interpersonal communication fields because of their hearing loss and secondary defects caused by hearing loss.The sense of social exclusion has an important impact on the physical and psychological development of deaf college students.It not only can cause the perception of deaf college students fall into disintegration,but also can lead to depression,anxiety,low self-esteem,guilt and other negative emotions.what's worse,it will reduce deaf college students' pro-social behaviors and induce aggressive behaviors,eventually hindering the improvement of the quality of life of deaf college students.Based on the important role of the sense of social exclusion for deaf college students,we should strength the study of the sense of social exclusion of deaf college students.Through the study of the sense of social exclusion,On the one hand,we can understand the overall level of the sense of social exclusion among our country's deaf college students.On the other hand,we can deepen the trigger mechanism of the sense of social exclusion among deaf college students,and provide feasible suggestions for school education,social work,and family education to reduce the sense of social exclusion of deaf college students.The study found that there are positive or negative relationships between the three factors of the sense of social exclusion,self-identity,and coping styles.However,few studies examine the internal relations among the sense of social exclusion,coping styles,and self-identity.So in this study,we take deaf college students as the research subjects.On the basis of interviews,we compile “the questionnaire for the sense of social exclusion of deaf college students”,and use "Simple Coping Style Scale" and "Self-identity Scale" to investigate their self-identity?the sense of social exclusion and coping style.what's more,We try to explore the intrinsic relationship between the three.To some extent,This study makes up for the limitations of domestic research in this area,provides evidence for the improvement of deaf college students' sense of self-identity,reduces the sense of social exclusion of deaf college students,and forms a reasonable coping style,so that provides reference and suggestions to promote the physical and psychological development of deaf college students.The research of this study found:(1)“The sense of social exclusion of deaf college students questionnaire” has good reliability and validity,meets the psychometric requirements,and is suitable as professional well-being measurement tool for primary.(2)The sense of social exclusion of deaf college students total were divided into 2.49,in the low level.The active coping styles of deaf college students is divided into 2.61,the negative coping style was 2.29,the coping tendency was 0.031,the coping style is mainly based on positive coping styles.Deaf college students' Self-identity is divided into 48.07,in the low level.(3)There is a significant gender difference in the sense of social exclusion among deaf college students.The male deaf college students are significantly higher than female deaf college students in the sense of educational exclusion,the sense of cultural exclusion,the sense of interpersonal exclusion,and the total of the sense social exclusion.Deaf college students of different grades have significant differences in the sense of economic exclusion.The sense of economic exclusion of junior deaf college students is significantly higher than that of deaf college students,such as freshmen,sophomores,and specialists.The degree of parental education is also an important demographic variable that affects the sense of social exclusion of deaf college students.The economic sense of exclusion of deaf college students whose parents' degree are in junior high schools and below is significantly lower than that of degree are specialist,undergraduate and above.(4)There are significant differences in the self-identity of deaf college students from different family sources.The concrete manifestation is that the self-identity of students with hearing impaired in urban areas is significantly higher than that in rural areas.(5)There was a significant difference in negative coping styles among deaf college students.The scores of male deaf college students in negative coping styles were significantly higher than those of females,further demonstrating that female deaf college students were more likely to adopt positive coping styles;The second grade of deaf college students have the highest scores,and there are statistically significant differences with the other grades of deaf college students.Deaf college students in Town are more likely to adopt positive coping styles than those who are in rural.Compared with deaf college students whose parents have a Specialist level,deaf college students whose parents have undergraduate level are more willing to adopt a positive coping style.Compared with hearing impaired college students whose parental education level is junior high school and below,deaf college students whose parents have an high school level use more negative coping styles.(6)The sense of social exclusion of deaf college students has a positive predictive effect on their self-identity;and has a negative predictive effect on positive coping styles and coping tendency,positive predictive effects on negative coping styles;Deaf college students' self-identity has a positive predictive effect on positive coping styles,a negative predictive effect on negative coping styles,and a positive predictive effect on coping tendency.(7)In the relationship between the sense of social exclusion and the coping style of deaf college students,self-identity has an important regulatory role.(8)Based on the findings of this study,an coping strategy was proposed to improve the self-identity of deaf college students,form a reasonable coping style,and reduce the sense of social exclusion.
