College stress is generally considered of the direct reasons that cause mental health of college students. Since lacking of the measure scale, the substantial evidence research of college students' job-hunting stress doesn't appear. The central aim of this study is to investigate the job-hunting stressor, the situation of job-hunting stress and its coping style, the relationship between job-hunting stress, coping style and mental health of college students by questionnaire.The method of this survey is mainly questionnaire. We tested 1200 college students in Guangzhou. Fist we use factor analyze to find out the job-hunting stressor. Second, descriptive statistics and compare means were used to investigate the characteristic of job-hunting stress, coping style and mental health. Finally, correlation and stepwise multiple regression models support the hypotheses about relationship of job-hunting stress, coping style and mental health. The results indicated that:1. Six factors cause the job-hunting stress of college students.2. Job-hunting stress, its coping style and mental health (including depression and anxiety) are significantly different between different college students' communities.3. Job-hunting stress and its different aspects exert negative impacts on mental health. Job-hunting stress is positively associated with negative coping style, and negatively correlated with aggressive coping style. Negative coping style exert negative impacts on mental health, aggressive coping style exert aggressive impacts on mental health.4. Mental health can be predicted quite well by job-hunting stress and its coping style.
