The error analysis theory takes the development of cognitive science as an opportunity,It rises and is fully developed in the 1970 s.The greatest contribution of this theory is to change people's understanding of mistakes and establish a system to study error patterns.This theory introduces different views on the classification of errors.Different classifications essentially show different understandings of research purposes,methods,and classification criteria.Another contribution of this theory is to propose steps for error analysis,specifically: sampling,identification errors,description errors,interpretation err ors,and evaluation errors.Combining with the error analysis theory,this paper analyzes the mistakes and causes in the teaching of classical Chinese in Shihezi S Middle School.The analysis of the wrong phenomenon mainly starts with the students' test pa pers and practice exercises.The main basis for the setting of the test questions in the college entrance examination is the curriculum standards,examination outline and textbook;the question types are divided into three objective choice questions and two subjective translation questions in the sentence segmentation,literary knowledge analytical synthesis;their selection materials are often derived from 24 History,the content of the selection is based on biographies.The analysis of the answers to students' text paper in classical Chinese is summarized,and three types of errors are summarized based on the causes of errors: inter-lingual errors,intra-language errors,and other errors.The analysis of the objective choice questions in the answer paper mainly starts with the score rate.From the perspective of the whole volume,the level of students' classical Chinese is at the lowest level in the whole volume.In the choice questions of classical Chinese,literary knowledge sense questions seem to be simple but have the lowest score rate.The high scoring rate of sentence segmentation cannot represent the true level of students.The analysis of students' errors in their homework assignments is mainly due to errors in typos and confusing knowledge.On the other hand,in addition to finding out the direct causes of each error point,the analysis of the causes of errors also requires finding out the overall reasons for teaching.The main reason is that students' attitudes and habits are not good enough,and teachers' teaching methods are conservative.Based on the overall analysis of test paper errors and teaching problems,a comprehensive strategy to reduce errors in high-level Chinese language teaching is proposed.The attitude toward wrongs should be to find mistakes and make use of mistakes.Correcting errors based on the source of the error.Teachers and students should change their concepts in teaching and learning.Teachers should pay attention to improving their comprehensive qualities,students should correct their attitudes,and develop good study habits.The content of courses should be clearly defined in teaching process,vocabulary teaching should be strengthened,and the emphasis should be on classical Chinese,and it should be based on the basic knowledge of Chinese.students should also have certain problem-solving skills and increase their knowledge reserve according to the examination points.
