The newest chemistry curriculum reform advocates that teaching should be based on the development of students and society.Teachers should use a variety of teaching methods with scientific inquiry in teaching and pay attention to the stimulation of students' interest,the master of learning methods and the cultivation of their ability.As the basic knowledge of chemistry,the concept of chemistry is the key content of teachers' teaching and the difficult content of students' understanding.Therefore,how to simplify the complex concepts,how to make the abstract concepts popularized and how to design the chemistry concept teaching,have a direct influence on not only the students' learning effect but also the teachers' teaching effect.The “5E” teaching model is a new teaching model developed on the basis of constructivism.It includes five stages: “participation”,“inquiry”,“explanation”,“refinem-ent”and “evaluation”.The connotation of each stage is in line with the teaching idea of the New Curriculum Reform.It is emphasized to unify the construction of conceptual knowledge with the inquiry activity,which is in line with the development trend of education.Therefore,this subject makes a detailed anal-ysis and summary of the relevant literature of “5E” teaching model,and carries out a questionnaire survey and interview on the teachers and students in grade nine of the No.3 Middle School in Guiyang.From the perspective of teachers and students to reflect the present situation of the ninth grade chemistry teaching and learning,this subject analyzes the main factors influencing the students chemistry concept learning,and generalizes the learning characteristics of ninth grade students' and the teaching characteristics of the chemistry concept teaching.On this basis,in view of the chemical concept of the third,fourth,fifth unit of the teaching material,the chemical teaching case based on the “5E” teaching mode is designed and applied to the practical teaching by the traditional teaching cases respectively.Compared and analyzed through the stage performance test,the classroom observation record table and the practice questionnaire survey,the conclusions are as follows: 1.Applying “5E” teaching mode to chemistry concept teaching in grade nine can deepen students' understanding of chemical concepts and effectively improve students' academic performance.2.Applying “5E” teaching mode to grade nine teaching has ch-anged the concept of teachers' concept teaching and the method of students' concept learning,which has stimulated students' interest in learning.3.The “5E” teaching model sets up a good platform for students' cooperative learning and communication discussion.It can effectively improve the students' communication ability and cultivate the students' cooperative spirit.4.The “5E” teaching mode,to some extent,has developed students' ability to explore and analyze problems and solve problems.
