Culture is a symbol of the soft power of a country's comprehensive national strength,the key to the improvement of cultural level lies in the improvement of educational quality,and the development of education is teacher-oriented or teachers are the key factors affecting the development of education,so the discussion of teacher's individual development is an important task to improve the national cultural level and then strengthen the comprehensive national strength.Fei Xiaotong has said that China is a rural society and the local nature of China is the essential attribute of China,in other words,the improvement of overall level of education lies in the improvement of rural education quality or the individual development of rural teachers.The mental needs is the essential nature of people's difference from animal,so as a member of ordinary people,the essential attribute of rural teachers is also the mental needs.Therefore,to improve the life quality of rural teachers,the key lies in the improvement of their mental life.In recent years,China has given rural teachers much attention and help through the formulation of various policies and investment of funds,and has provided convenient conditions and ways for the enrichment of teachers' mental life,but the level of mental life is still not high,and the overall level is decreasing with the increase of teaching age and academic qualifications.In rural schools,most teachers have long teaching age,and they constitute the main force of rural teachers,if there are problems in their mental life,it will seriously hinder the improvement of rural education.Therefore,this paper studies the present situation and contermeasures of rural teachers' mental life.This paper is consisted of the following six parts:Part ?: The introduction.It mainly introduces the origin,the literature review,the purpose and significance,the ideas and methods,and the difficulties and innovations of the study.Part ?: The analysis of the connotation of rural school teachers' mental life.This part distinguishes and defines the concepts of rural school,life,mental and mental life.It is believed that the mental life of rural teachers is a kind of communicative activities with students,colleagues,parents of students,families and others took by the rural primary and secondary school teachers in compulsory education stage under the guarantee of certain material life,which is on the basis of family private activities and social interaction activities,and take teaching activities as the core.It is reflected in the aspects of psychological life,cultural leisure life and value life.It points to the professional development and the presentation of life value of teachers,the overall development of rural students and the balanced development of rural education.Part ?: The present situation of rural teachers' mentl life.This part exounds rural teachers' mental life from the persectives of psychological life,cultural leisure life and value life mainly based on the data from the survey of teachers' mental life in some rural schools in C city of Sichuan Province.There are the following problems in the mental life of rural teachers in C city of Sichuan province: the level of psychological life is low due to the forced nature of career choice,the low side of social stratum of rural teachers,the mismatching of workload with the salary,the lack of teaching resources and the overload of working hours;the cultural leisure life of rural teachers is poor due to the lack of cultural and leisure facilities,the reduction of free time and the single content of activities;the value life of rural teachers deviate due to the lack of a sense of belonging to rural culture,the real understanding of the purpose of education and the vocational planning and enthusiasm.Part ?: The interpretation of the factors in the mental life of teachers in rural schools.The description and analysis of this part are mainly based on the investigation of the basic information and mental life of some rural teachers in C city of Sichuan Province.Firstly,it summarizes the problems analyzed above,including lower level of social status identification degree,weak material support and heavy additional pressure in psychological life,lower utilization of facilities,barriers of leisure time and single activities in cultural leisure life,the difficulties of the use of local knowledgevalue and the lack of motivation for professional and carrier development in value life.Seco ndly,it discusses the factors that affect the quality of rural teachers' mental life from the objective aspect,including teaching ages,educational attainment,professional titles,school levels and so on.For this part,rural teachers who have longer teaching ages and higher educational attainment get a worse level in psychological life,and those who get higher professional titles and school levels do better in mental life.Part ?: The countermeasures of rural teachers' mental life.This part is based on the investigation and analysis of the present situation and factors,and follows the two ideas of tamping psychological life and cultural leisure life,or promoting psychological life and cultural leisure life through value of life,and optimizing objective factors affecting mental life to improve the value life,and then to ensure the quality of rural teachers' mental life,the growth of individual profession and the improvement of rural education.Specifically,this study put forward the following three paths from two aspects of individual occupation accomplishment and cultural environment of the rural: the first is concept-leading---set up rural teachers' confidence,including the promotion of rural teachers' social status,humanistic care(for different teaching age and educational attainment)and the experience of rural culture to form a sense of belonging to the rural environment;the second is system-security---improve the rural education system,including the construction of safeguard system of funds,the establishment of incentive system for professional development(such as title tilt to the young)and the implement of a fair and objective evaluation system to strengthen the correct understanding of the occupatio n of rural teachers;the third is environment-supporting---ensure the growth of rural teachers,including the reasonable arrangement of cultural leisure time,the improvement of the utilization rate of equipment and the use of local knowledge to improve rural teachers' occupation expectation.Part ?: The conclusion.This part summarizes the status and countermeasures of rural teachers' mental life,and points out the deficiency of the research and the direction for future research.
