Study On The Spiritual Solace Of The Rural Left-behind Elderly By Group Work

The large number of the rear elderly is formed in rural areas result from aging of population brought by family planning and urbanization.About their material support,daily care and spiritual consolation have received continuous attention.Most studies have ignored the regional diversity of the needs of the elderly.It is found by investigation that the left-behind elderly in middle of Hubei are faced with a severe crisis in spiritual consolation.Faced with the lack of emotional support from children and community,this study renders service for rural left-behind elderly directly,in order to arouse the enthusiasm of rural left-behind elderly by group work,to establish emotional support and interactive system among the left-behind elderly,it also provide a new method to mitigate the dilemma of their spirit comfort.This study take X village in J as an example by using the method of group work.It should assess the emotional need of the rural left-behind elderly based on the field investigation at first.It has found the rural left-behind elderly are faced with a severe crisis in emotional need,communication requirements,entertainment needs,and value demand.Then design the practical solutions and choose eight group members to execute it,at last evaluation the process and result of the work.During the group work,it is important to help group members develop potentials and promote their emotional communication.Group members obtained peer support and abundant recreational activities after five section activities,To some degree,it satisfied the rural left-behind elderly emotional demand.Group work can play positive role in the issue of the spiritual solace of the rural left-behind elderly according to the feedback from group members.We can drew some conclusions from this study.At first,it can increase the continuity of the spiritual solace of the rural left-behind elderly by taking the initiative of the elderly.Second,it makes sense to cultivate self-organization of the old,it can ensure the continuity and stability of their spiritual solace.But it also need to reconsider that the acceptance of Social work in country still needs to be improved,it increase the time cost and human cost greatly.Second,how to overcome difficulties in linking resource also need to discuss.At last,there are many suggestions about how to take family,social and government three part facing the problem of the spiritual solace of the rural left-behind elderly,but in the practice,there are many difficulties need to be reconsidered.
