A Study On Social Support Of Spiritual Solace For The Old Persons Who Lost Their Solitude

With the increasing risk of diseases,traffic accidents in recent years and the impact of family planning policy,only-child families bear the risk of the death of only-child.After experiencing the pain of "old people losing their children",the elderly are also facing double pressures of material life and spirit.They often lose confidence in life because of lack of spiritual comfort.Compared with the material help of the elderly,they need spiritual comfort more.Through X as the professional practice opportunity of the old service center,this paper visited 15 elderly people who have lost their independence in Y District of Beijing.Through face-to-face communication and communication,the problems and needs of the elderly were found and sorted out.Taking one of the elderly as an example,this paper analyzed the specific mental dilemma of the case and helped the elderly alleviate their sadness and depression through social work services.In the process of case service,following the basic tenet of "helping others and helping themselves" in social work,guided by the theory of social support,the theory of energy enhancement and the theory of life course,this paper provides help and companionship for the elderly who are alone in the community.The author enters the daily life of the elderly as a daily companion,and through the design and implementation of community activities for the elderly,explores the construction of a social support network for the spiritual comfort of the elderly.From the two dimensions of formal social support network and informal support network,the author promotes the society to pay attention to the special group of the elderly,and attaches importance to the spiritual and emotional needs of the elderly.We should seek a way of social work service that takes into account both universality and individuality,so as to enhance the sense of life satisfaction and acquisition of the lonely elderly.
