The issue of supporting the aged,accompanied by the increasing of aging population,attracts broad attention from sociologists.In the mean time,with the development of society and the improvement of people's living standard,the spiritual needs of the aged come to prominent.Maslow's hierarchy theory of needs indicates that when people's basic material needs are satisfied,they will turn to a higher level of spiritual needs.The material life of the elderly living alone in x community is well-off,but their spiritual life is demanded,which is manifested in a strong desire of emotional communication and a spiritual needs of self-value identification.Except for old people who live alone don't have children,what is more important is that the elderly are not fully aware of the subject of spiritual consolation.(thinking of child as the only spiritual consolation).Over-reliance on children's spiritual comfort,this leads to the need of the elderly people living alone in the X community not to be satisfied in time.Based on the spiritual needs of the aged living alone in city and the application of social works on consoling their spirit,this paper aims to,by choosing 8 elderly through UCLA loneliness scale to carry out consolation works,and under the guidance of CBT to construct a mutual-help groupconsoling mode through the three steps of scenario analysis,cognitive reconstruction and behavior guidance,lead the aged to change their sterile thinking mode,in which they depend solely on their children for spiritual consolation,and to diversify their consoling subject,so as to realize spiritual mutual-help for the aged living alone in X community.Group activities satisfied the aged spiritual needs of talking with others,expressing love and social intercourse.The UCLA loneliness scale tested by the aged indicates that 75% of them relieved their loneliness by joining group activities.Peer groups based on peer groups are effective in alleviating loneliness.The X community living alon established a friendship with the team members in the sopport group and achieved spiritual consolation “mutual assistance”.In addition,this paper also summarizes the two difficulties encountered in the mutual assistance group activities.In the process of cognitive transformaation,there's different kind of thing.On this basis,the sustainability of the support group is reflected.
