On The Function Of College Martial Arts Associations In Weifang From The Persprctive Of Public Sports Services

As China is building the service-oriented government,public sports services have become an important part of the new government public service system.As a second-class public welfare organization,colleges and universities are obligated to participate in the building of public sports services in the whole society.Colleges and universities also have relatively sufficient physical resources such as human and material resources and information,and can become one of the main providers of sports public services under certain circumstances.The public sports service of colleges and universities is a unique field in the public sports service system,and its martial arts associations have the characteristics and attributes of the “third department”.Regarding to public sports services,re-examine the functions and attributes of college martial arts associations can therefore achieve a win-win situation for schools,communities and sports organizations,with theoretical innovation and significant practical significance.Literature method,interview method,questionnaire survey method,mathematical statistics method and logic analysis method were used in the research.On the basis of literature review and analysis,the demographic characteristics of college martial arts associations’ members provided in the aspects of providing and appealing of public sports service was investigated and analyzed.The results showed that:(1)From concept definition to reality performance,college martial arts associations have typical "third sector" characteristics and play an important role in the building of public sports services.(2)Martial arts associations are important providers of public sports services in colleges and universities.In addition to providing members with the necessary services,they also provide fitness guidance and cultural performance services for teachers,students and the society.(3)The martial arts associations are the demanders of public sports services in colleges and universities.They represent the interests of member groups and expect to obtain funding,teachers,sites and policy support in the building of public sports services in colleges anduniversities.It is suggested that college martial arts associations,as the important provider of public sports services in colleges and universities,need a mature operation mechanism to guarantee the smooth transition from demand service to provision service,so as to meet the needs of members,satisfy the needs of colleges and society and promote the development of the organizations.That both universities and society should give support to college martial arts associations in various aspects,mainly including policy support,financial support,teacher support and site equipment support.They should attach great importance to the indispensable importance of college martial arts associations in the public sports service system and give full play to their important values in fitness guidance and cultural performances.
