At present,China is vigorously implementing the “Village Revitalization”program.The foundation for rural revitalization is education.In 2015,the State Council passed the Rural Teacher Support Program,this is the first time since the founding of New China that rural teachers have been placed in the national strategy.There are currently 3 million rural teachers.They are the first resource of rural education,the backbone of rural education,and the hope of rural children.In this paper,the focus of research is on the media image of rural teachers.Firstly,through the analysis of the relevant samples of the "China Teacher Paper",we will study what kind of contemporary rural teachers image the "China Teacher Paper" presents through thematic framework.Secondly,combined with the results of the questionnaire,through comparative analysis,summed up the fit and deviation of the contemporary rural teachers’ image and reality presented by the China Teacher Paper.Again,discuss the reasons for these fits and deviations.Finally,make suggestions for presenting the media image of contemporary rural teachers in a true,reasonable and comprehensive manner.Through the methods of quantitative analysis and framework analysis,this paper finds that in the typical report of 2015-2018,"China Teacher Paper" presents "teachers who have been insisting on youth to middle-aged and old","family with the students" and "enthusiastic and capable handyman","versatile teacher","workingah regardless of family" etc.Through comparison with the questionnaire survey,this paper has the following preliminary results: "China Teacher Paper" is in line with the survey results in constructing the image of "family with the students",and there are some differences from the survey in constructing the image of "workingah regardless of family",there is a lack of image in the construction of "the marginal people in the rural society" image,the image of a happy rural teacher presented is inconsistent with the survey results.In addition,the media image of contemporary rural teachers constructed by the "China Teacher Paper" also has a tendency of homogeneity and formulation.The reason is that the "China Teacher Paper" news framework has been solidified,and the use of negative news is not enough.If the "China Teacher Paper" wants to construct a true,reasonable and comprehensive image of contemporary rural teachers,the China Teacher Paper must update the news theme framework and extendthe coverage of the report more broadly;stabilize and increase the number of reports;listen to various opinions,actively embrace new media,train correspondents;rationally arrange issues,make good use of negative reports;and strengthen humane care;respect humanity and common sense.
