Study On The Mechanism Of Independent College Students' Participation In Campus Cultural Construction

The independent college is a special product and an exploration of the reformof higher education in the developmentof China's tertiary education.After nearly 20 years of development,the new mechanism and new mode of running the independent college has contributed greatly to the development of China's university education.As an important part of China's higher education,the establishment of a modern university system and the realization of connotative development are also its development goals and directions.As the requirement of modern university system,democratic management makes it natural for students to participate in the management of schools,and students' participation in the construction of campus culture is one of the vitally important ways to realize the democratic management of colleges and universities.The construction of campus culture is the reflection of the comprehensive strength of colleges and universities.lt is very important for the independent colleges to realize the new leap development.Under the guidance of"participatory development",students from independent colleges are actively encouraged to participate in the campus culture construction of the school,which can add new vitality to the campus culture construction of independent colleges,and ensure its vigorous as well.By defining the connotation of campus culture,and meeting the needs of development of independent colleges and students characteristics in this paper,the independent college should put more emphasis on our aspects,including material culture,spiritual culture,institutional culture and behavior culture.This paper analyzes the necessity,importance and feasibility of the independent college students'participating in campus cultural construction,and summarizes the main approaches of the current independent college students participating in campus cultural construction.At the same time,takeXiamen University Tan KahKee College as an example,this paper briefly introduces the basic information of the school and the educational achievements made by the school in the construction of campus culture under the guidance of the school-running concept of "student-centered".Through questionnaires and interviews,the main forms of students' participation in campus culture construction in Tan KahKee Collegewere summarized.To analyze the existing problems,such as the lack of institutional guarantee,traditional thinking restrictions,students' emphasis on literary and artistic content rather than academic learning,and students' ability to participate,which need to be further improved.Based on practical work experience,this paper proposes to further improve the enthusiasm and influence of independent college students to participate in campus culture construction through systematic mechanisms such as institutional guarantee,building democratic atmosphere,innovating participation forms,improving participation ability and level,etc.to guarantee the effect and influence of students' participation in campus culture construction and provide reference for independent colleges to explore and build a more perfect mechanism for students' participation in campus culture construction under the new situation.
