The Study Of Constructing Student Development-oriented Campus Culture In Independent College

With the development of economy and society in C hina, especially the further deepening of higher education reform, the cultural construction in university campus is also strengthened constantly. As the independent colleges, which belong to the new emerging force of higher education system in C hina, the construction of campus culture has been an important issue of concern. The cultural construction in university campus is an important base for graduates to make self- management, self-education and teamwork, and is of profound educational significance to graduates. According to the special group educated and cultivated from independent colleges, it is urgent and significant to strengthen the construction of campus culture. As for the construction of campus culture, the independent college is still at the early stage of development and has great gap with public university with long history. However, it can be seen that the independent college is still mak ing self-exploration, self- inspection and self-correction during the practice and development of construction for the campus culture. If the independent college wants great- leap- forward development, the construction of campus culture should be based on the orientation of student development all the time.This research strives for the sustainable development of the independent college. Besides, it analyzes the relation between the construction of campus culture and students’ development in the independent college and discusses the influence of the construction of campus culture in the independent college on students’ development. Then, by way of grasping the current situation of construction of campus culture in the current independent college, it summarizes the problems and makes a further discussion on problems. Finally, it proposes the approach of the construction of campus culture in the independent college oriented by student development, thus providing new angle of view and thoughts for the development of the construction of campus culture in the independent college in China.1) It discusses the importance of construction of campus culture in colleges and its influence on students’ development; emphasizes the necessity of constructing the campus culture oriented by students’ development by managers and educators in the current independent college for the special group of the independent college.2) It analyzes the characteristics of students in the independent college and discusses these characteristics from three aspects: thought traits, learning traits and behavior traits. They have both disadvantages and advantages.3) It selects 3 independent colleges as samples to make individual analysis by means of questionnaire. From the angle of students, it grasps the current situation of construction of campus culture in the independent college, summarizes the problems and makes a further discussion for the problems.4) According to the construction of campus culture in the independent college oriented by students’ development, it respectively proposes relevant paths of implementation from the aspects of construction of physical culture, spiritual culture, system culture and behavior culture.
