| Time is a measurement of the existence of life;Schooling time is the space for the development of subjects in education,and it is the precondition for school education activities.Therefore,Inquiring schooling time and its related issues is a key issue that Pedagogy needs to face.In pre-modern educational organizations,the construction of time awareness mainly comes from people’s loose inner experience.It is in line with the traditional time concept of social life,mainly relying on the changes of natural rhythm.Therefore,its power of discipline and control is weak.However,with the modern industrialized large-machine-production gradually replacing the traditional manual production mode,the society needs to regulate the order of the public and improve the fficiency of industrialized large-scale production,which should be"efficient","convenient"."objective"and"quantitative",etc.In this context,"mechanical time"represented by cheap watches emerged and then quickly spread to all aspects of social life.Under this condition.the traditional loose time structure is broken.In order to achieve greater educational benefits,and to meet the needs of social production,school education completely introduced and systematically constructed the modern schooling time mechanism.From the concept and ritual to various educational systems,this mechanism strictly controls educational activities in the school,showing the characteristics of mechanization,hegemonization,and utilitarianism.At the same time,under the infiltration of industrialized technological time,schooling time is also alienated into an intermediary of social capital distribution,social power production and reproduction.It not only fundamentally damages the nature of schooling time,intangibly hurts the essence of education,inhibits the development of individuals,but also hinders the implementation of educational policies in specific educational situations,weakens the efficiency of educational activities.Therefore,to ensure the sound operation of school education and realize the fundamental purpose of education,we must recognize the problems in the modern schooling time and effectively manage it,return it to its own state,namely,return to leisure,freedom and caring about individual development. |
