The decline of adolescents' physical health has become a global problem. The adolescent period is a crucial period for the development of physical and mental health and various physical qualities.Enhancing the physical fitness of young people and promoting the healthy growth of adolescents is a major event that affects the future of the country and the nation. It is an important reason for the lack of physical activity in middle and high-intensity,which is also a major cause of decline in physical fitness of adolescents. This has also attracted widespread attention from all walks of life as well as to the parents of schools and students, but there is no significant effect. Therefore,it is necessary to explore the factors affecting the level of high-intensity physical activity and participation behavior among adolescents. The expectation value theory is one of the most important theories to study adolescent psychology. The expectation value theory hypothesis is derived from the individual's expectation and success. To capture the value, value of interest, and perception of practical value, this study aims to examine the effects of variables in the theory of expected value and the level of physical activity participation of adolescents in Shanghai. This study objectively evaluates the level of Moderate and Vigorous Physical Activity(under MVPA)and the significance in demographics through adolescent physical activity questionnaires;and uses the expected value theory scale((Expectancy value questionnaire,EVQ)investigates the level of expectations, value, value of interest and practical value of Shanghai adolescents and their significance in demographics;statistical and regression analysis of the data obtained through SPSS22.0 to explore the expected value The theoretical framework influences the level of participation of adolescents in Shanghai physical activity and draws the following conclusions:First, the average medium-to-high-intensity physical activity of adolescents in Shanghai was 46.98 min/d.The level of high-intensity physical activity among Shanghai adolescents was slightly higher than the national average and lower than international standards.Compared with girls, the high-intensity physical activity level of boys is slightly higher;compared with the lower grades, the high-level adolescents have higher levels of high-intensity physical activity;compared with the suburbs, urban adolescents have high levels of high-intensity physical activity.Second, there are gender differences in the expectations and beliefs of adolescents in Shanghai and the average expected value of male students is higher than that of female students;the expectations and beliefs of adolescents vary in grades. The higher the grades, the higher the expectations and beliefs of adolescents;the expectations of adolescents There are regional differences in belief, acquisition value and practical value. The expectations, beliefs, value and practical value of urban youth are higher than those of suburban youth;Third, among the various factors of expectation value theory, only the expected belief and practical value can directly affect the participation level of high-intensity physical activity among Shanghai adolescents, and there is a positive correlation;expectation belief and practical value can explain the high-intensity physical activity level of7.4% of adolescents.Fourthly, three suggestions are proposed: First, schools should enhance the confidence and ability of young people to participate in physical activities, stimulate the motivation and interest of young people to participate in physical activities, enhance the confidence of young people to participate in physical activities, and enhance the ability of young people to participate in physical activities to stimulate Young people are more involved in physical activities and increase their motivation and interest in participating in physical activities.Second, parents should preach and teach, encourage and support young people to actively participate in physical activities.Parents should educate and guide the importance of adolescent physical activities to the present and practicality for the future;parents can improve their enthusiasm for participating in physical activities, and give young people Provide more confidence and support to help young people form the right concept of physical activity and actively participate in physical activities.Third, social environment and site facilities support are the foundation and guarantee for young people to participate in physical activities.Schools and society should establish a supportive environment(school atmosphere, community supporting facilities),subtly motivate students to participate in physical activities, and continuously cultivate young people. The interest in participating in physical activities allows young people to learn more sports skills in physical education classes and in physical education, thus indirectly affecting the expectations and interests of young people participating in physical activities.Fourth, the state and the government should do a good job in propaganda and supervision, coordinate the development of all aspects, and make progress in promoting the participation of young people in physical activities: adapting to local conditions, changing from person to person, coordinating development, and making overall plans; Conclusion: The expectation value theory is applicable to the study of the participation level of adolescents' physical activities. The expectation of value theory has different degrees of influence on adolescent physical activity participation, but only the expected belief and practical value can directly affect the participation level of high-intensity physical activity among adolescents.
