Junior high school mathematics contains a large number of mathematical concepts,supporting the entire junior high school mathematics knowledge system.However,in the actual teaching Process,most teachers won't take much time to elaborate the concept forming Process,which contributes to many junior high school students having far less understanding of mathematical concepts.As a result,junior high school mathematics concept teaching needs to be reformed.Based on Dubinsky's APOS Theory,this paper studies the current situation and teaching strategies of junior high school mathematics concepts.First of all,this study analyzed the meaning of mathematical concepts,the basic characteristics of junior high school mathematical concepts,and classification of mathematical concepts.It also explained the theory of APOS and its theoretical sources and pointed out the feasibility of applying APOS Theory to the teaching of junior high school mathematical concepts.Secondly,in order to comprehensively understand the status quo of junior high school mathematics concept teaching,according to the four stages of APOS Theory,we designed the " Questionnaire of Junior Middle School Students' Mathematical Concept Learning Status" and "The Questionnaire of Junior Middle School Math Teacher Conceptual Teaching Status".These surveys selected the first-line mathematics teachers and students from two ordinary junior high schools and two key ordinary junior high schools in the C city to participate in the questionnaire survey and interviewed some teachers in a targeted manner.Through the investigation,we found and summarized some main existing problems in the teaching of junior high school mathematical concepts.Combing with the relevant modern education teaching theory and the cognitive psychology of junior high school students,some junior high school mathematics concept teaching strategies are proposed for the four stages of APOS Theory: Action?Process?Object and Schema.Analysis of the fragments of the typical concept teaching case is provided for each teaching strategy,which promoted the effective integration of the teaching strategy with the junior high school mathematics classroom.Finally,we summarized the paper with reflections and expectation for the future.
