Nowadays,under the background of informationization of education,various kinds of learning resources are constantly emerging.The unique story plots,special effects of sound and painting and timely interaction of educational games enable students to grasp knowledge easily and happily in the process of interaction with situations,thus making educational games develop rapidly.However,as a new means of education,the autonomy and inquiry of learning have not been brought into full play.In the past,the study of learning strategies in educational games has been limited.Therefore,when designing and developing educational games,it is necessary to introduce appropriate teaching strategies.Since the concept map was put forward,it has been widely used in the field of education because of its unique role and function.Later,under the guidance of visualization theory,concept map began to transform into a visualization tool for knowledge representation and guiding the development of various educational and teaching resources.Due to the special entertainment of educational games,the internalized subject knowledge and knowledge points are too scattered and lack of effective organization,and the connection and structure between knowledge points cannot be presented.The concept map can be used to divide the complicated subject knowledge in educational games into spatial network structure diagrams with good logic and clear structure,which is conducive to closely combining the knowledge structure with game elements and giving full play to the value of educational games.This study is expected to explore the application of concept map in educational games under the guidance of relevant learning theories,and develop a case study of educational games integrating concept map based on digital technology.The existence of concept maps in educational games can reduce the "cognitive overload" of students in the process of games,help students establish a clear knowledge framework,and promote the double-level improvement of students' knowledge and ability.In this study,literature research method,system science method,design research method,questionnaire survey method and other research methods were adopted.On the basis of relevant theoretical basis and previous research,Unity3 D was used as the development tool to design and develop an example of educational game integrated with concept map.Its main research work includes the following four parts.(1)Basic theoretical research.Through the literature review and analysis,the concept map and the concept of educational games are defined.On this basis,relevant theories are sorted out,and the theoretical basis of the research is elaborated and summarized from the three aspects of related knowledge of concept map,cognitive load theory and knowledge visualization theory.(2)Construction of educational game model incorporating concept map.Based on previous research in the analysis model of concept map,draw lessons from existing education game function structure model,starting from the research target of this research,based on the theoretical research,build into the concept of education game function structure model,analyzed the implementation method of each part in the game model and its connection,and its core concept graph model,this paper expounds in detail the construction of a concept map.(3)Research on case design of educational games integrated with concept maps.In this study,the knowledge points about green plants in the biosphere in junior high school biology were selected as the specific subject knowledge of gamification learning,and the detailed teaching design was carried out.Firstly,the characteristics and learning objectives of students are analyzed,and the basic information of game examples is determined.Then,the concept map is used to analyze and sort out the subject knowledge,and the knowledge framework is established as the overall framework and knowledge base of the game.Finally,the concept map is combined with game elements,and the dynamic change of concept map is used to realize the integration of subject content and game activities,so as to achieve the purpose of knowledge representation.(4)The development and effect verification of educational game examples.In this paper,the junior high school biology course "what are the green plants in the biosphere" was selected as the subject background,and Unity3 D was taken as the game development platform.With Photoshop,GoldWave and other tools,a game named "looking for green plants" was developed.The results show that the existence of concept map in educational games not only does not reduce students' internal motivation,but also reduces students' cognitive load to some extent.This research creatively combines concept maps with educational games,explores the application of concept maps in educational games under the guidance of knowledge visualization and cognitive load theory,constructs a concept map model suitable for educational games,and develops an example of educational games,which verifies the feasibility of this research idea and design.However,due to the limitation of time and technical ability,the game examples developed can basically highlight the original concept,but there are still many problems and omissions.Future research will continue to explore the method of combining concept map with educational game,in order to develop a better educational game integrated with concept map.
