As an important module of high school mathematics,plane analytic geometry embodies a unique method of mathematical research.And the conic section represents the essence of plane analytic geometry,both reflects the core idea and method of plane analytic geometry,and represents a whole new field of content,expanding the scope of high school mathematics,making high school mathematics appear more plump overall.At the same time,the conic section is a difficult point in the high school mathematics study.The difficulty of conic section is reflected in all-embracing and extensive.On one hand,the conic section covers the quadratic equation with one unknown,the inequality,the function extreme,the vector,the trigonometric function and the plane geometry knowledge learned in junior high school,dabble in a wide range.On the other hand,the conic section embodies mathematical ideas,such as mathematical combination,transformation and normalization,functions and equations,classification and discussion,etc.,with profound connotations.Therefore,high school students often have difficulty in learning the conic section.Based on this background,this paper adopts the research methods of questionnaire,test,interview,observation and literature analysis,and makes an empirical study on the difficulties in the study of conic section.The body part is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the introduction part,which focuses on the research background and research status,and explains the purpose and methods of the research.In the second chapter,three concepts of "high school students","conic section" and "learning difficulties" are effectively defined.The third chapter is the main part of the research,mainly discusses the research process from three aspects: design,implementation and result analysis,and he results of test volume and questionnaire are analyzed emphatically.On the basis of the study of chapter 3,the fourth chapter concludes that there are four kinds of difficulties in the study of conic section and analyzes the causes of various difficulties.The fifth chapter is about the deepening of chapter 4,for the four kinds of difficulties that students of high school students have in conic section learning,the specific coping strategies are presented and presented in the form of case design.Chapter six is the summary and outlook.Through the research of this paper,it is concluded that there are four kinds of difficulties in the study of conic section:(1)the basic concept of conic section is difficult to understand;(2)difficulty in the application of general methods;(3)operation difficulty related to conic section;(4)the practical application of conic section is difficult.Knowing it,we should know more about it.As to the origin of these four kinds of difficulties,it can be summed up in three aspects: students' learning attitude and study habits,teachers' teaching methods,and the difficulty of knowledge itself.Therefore,the specific coping strategies should also focus on students,teachers and knowledge itself.
