Conic is the important content of high school math teaching,which not only covers crucial mathematical thoughts and methods but also has permeated to each branch of mathematics with its own unique way of thinking. Therefore,it’s helpful to learn the conic well so that the math scholars can apply the other mathematical knowledge and understand them.In order to effectively probe into the cause of cone curve learning difficulty for those high school students in this experimental zone. According to the goals and requirements put forward by the author on the basis of the Ordinary High School Mathematics Curriculum Standard(experiment) "(2003), the author analyzes the content of the conic teaching course and the study foundThe author got three conclusions by testing those students about the definition of a conic, curves and equations, the geometric properties and its application,they are :It can be seen through the analysis of the questionnaire for students and teachers Through the above study,the author found that:(1)the class periods of conic is beyond the studengts’ abilities to understand and the content of teaching materials still need to be reduced. In spite of the reduction of the learning requirements in this section oflearning hyperbola,the difficulty lever still keeps higher.(2) more informative error,the wrong strategies to solve the conic problem, psychological fear existed in the application of conic and the way to answer the comprehensive question.(3)as the class hour is not enough,teachers have to drive their teaching progress.So,they directly teach students the teaching content which should be the content of the discussions part for students. teachers do not make full use of the media,which leads to the lack of their leaning interest.There are many factors which influence the students’ study results such as the learning environment, degree of efforts, the psychological quality, learning strategies and teachers’ quality.As for this phenomenon,suggestions are put forward as follows :(1)The suggestions to improve the teaching methords is to properly increase the class hour and solve the problems that students meet during their learning process.Besides,teachers can also moderately use the multimedia technology.(2) The suggestions to improve students’ learning methods is to help students build complete knowledge structure, lets the student correctly and positively reflect the reason why they cannot grasp the true meaning of those knowledge.In addition to this,teachers should motivatetheir learning interests and motivation so that the students can master the problem-solving skills and methods from the difficulty lever to easy standard as the pattern of the ladder type.(3)Increase the concept of new curriculum reform of Bi Jie pilot area teachers training led to the improvement of teachers’ teaching idea...
