Research Of Chinese Mixed Martial Arts Based On The Media's Mirror Image

The media is the window for the audience to cognize the world.The audience's understanding and knowledge of the surrounding environment are mostly from the media.The media's mirror image characteristics of the various sports will affect the audience's understanding of the sport.The MMA(Mixed Martial Arts)is a new sort of sport.It has a good development prospect in many regions such as the Americas,Europe,Asia,and Oceania.Compared with foreign countries,the development of MMA in China is relatively flat.This study found that the media has a certain degree of incompleteness in the coverage of the MMA,which may lead to cognitive bias in the audience.Therefore,it is extremely important to explore the media image of the MMA in China.The purpose of this study is to explore the characteristics of media mirrors presented by mainstream media,commercial websites and Weibo in the MMA reports,and to analyze the media images presented by different media in the MMA reports,and find out the problems existing in them.To put forward some reference suggestions for the media report of the MMA in China.This study focuses on the news reports of the MMA by mainstream media,commercial websites and Weibo media,and compares the current status of news reports on the MMA.The theoretical basis of this research is mainly the news framework theory and the media's mirror theory.Literature data method,text analysis method and interview method are the research methods of this research.Through the discussion and analysis of relevant media and literature materials on the MMA at home and abroad,the following conclusions and recommendations are made:(1)When the mainstream media reported the image of the MMA,it repeatedly elaborated on the vision of the future of the MMA,but the total amount of the report was too little,and there was no systematic report.In terms of reporting methods,China News Network and China Sports News reported more MMA games than other mainstream media.Some mainstream media have a tendency to be violent and bloody in the text of the MMA.(2)Commercial websites present more detailed features in their reports on the MMA,focusing on the interactive reaction of the MMA athletes and spectators,and expressing their confidence and hope for the future of the MMA on many occasions.However,some reports on commercial websites tend to make the MMA entertaining and lose its essential significance.Many commercial websites do not highlight the characteristics of the MMA movement itself,but imply the intentions of violence and bloodshed of the MMA.(3)The main theme of the MMA fighter's Weibo report is "propaganda and promotion of the MMA".The content of the report presents a variety of ways,and shapes the image of "non-MMA fighter".However,the purpose of reporting discourse framework is controversial.There are some language violence problems in reporting language,and the original content of Weibo sources is less.This paper puts forward relevant suggestions,hoping to play a certain reference role in the development of the MMA in China.The media should report the MMA comprehensively and systematically,and embody the movement characteristics of the MMA to the audience.The development of MMA can not be separated from the support of the government and substantial reform.It is suggested that the mainstream media,commercial websites,Weibo and other media can fully display the positive role of the MMA,publicize the concept of "sports and health" to the audience,and jointly promote the development of the health industry and the construction of "Healthy China".
