The theory of“ecological man”is formed on the basis of examining the drawbacks of the hypothesis of “economic man”.It is the era reflection of the Marxist ecological concept and provides an important practical way to solve the current ecological environment problems.The theory of “ ecological man ” has important enlightening significance for ecological education in universities in China.First,it points out the objectives of ecological education in universities.Second,it expands the content of ecological education in universities.Third,it enriches the forms of ecological education in universities.The achievements of ecological education in universities in China are mainly reflected in the general development of ecological education,the steady progress of textbook compilation and the remarkable improvement of college students' ecological consciousness,etc.The existing problems mainly include the single mode of education,lack of actual effect,irrational curriculum setting,less ecological practice activities,etc.The main reasons for these problems lie in the imperfection of the ecological education system in universities,insufficient attention,inadequate ability of teachers themselves and insufficient investment in funds.The international community,especially in the United States,Canada,Mexico,Japan and Sweden,started ecological education early,and has accumulated rich experience in the legislation of ecological education,the curriculum of ecological education,and the construction of ecological education bases.Its enlightenment for our country mainly lies in perfecting the policies and regulations of ecological education in universities,enriching theways of ecological education in universities,optimizing the environment of ecological education in universities,etc.Improving the ecological education in universities in China can be carried out in three aspects.The first is to optimize the curriculum and strengthen the infiltration of disciplines,including improving the ecological literacy of college teachers,compiling national ecological education textbooks,opening public and elective courses of ecological environment,and playing the main channel role of ideological and political course in ecological education;the second is to strengthen the construction of green campus and create an ecological culture atmosphere,such as strengthening the guidance and evaluation of green campus work,strengthening the special training of university leaders and carrying out rich ecological education activities.The third is to strengthen the cooperation between universities and communities,enterprises and environmental protection organizations,establish extensive contacts and interactions between universities and communities,universities and enterprises,universities and environmental protection organizations,and construct the social support system of ecological education in universities.
