In contemporary society where the information technology is developing at a crazy speed,more and more emerging information technology represented by Internet,+5G communication technology and mobile Internet technology has put forward higher requirements for information technology education in secondary vocational schools.Meanwhile,it is also impacting on the way people produce,live and learn in different forms.Therefore,vocational information technology education needs to keep pace with the development of modern information technology.In this way,it can Integrate the latest information knowledge,information idea,information means,teaching methods,information evaluation means and existing teaching modes so as to construct new teaching mode and promote the improvement of teaching quality.STEM educational concept has the core idea of integration,cooperation,innovation,interest,technology enhancement and so on.Thus the rise of STEM education will definitely bring the dawn for the reform of information technology curriculum teaching mode.Firstly,document analysis is adopted in this paper to review the Literature materials related to the teaching mode of secondary vocational information technology courses and STEM education topics.Secondly,this paper combines the teaching practice of information technology in secondary vocational schools in China with the theory of Constructivism teaching STEM and Situational learning on the basis of a comprehensive understanding of STEM education and its core concepts.Through overall analysis and induction,we can see although the existing teaching mode has promoted the teaching quality of information technology courses to some extent,there are still some problems to be solved in information technology course teaching in secondary vocational schools presently affected by objective factors such as the rapid update of information technology,the lagging teaching content,the single teaching object,the lack of innovative thinking and professional concept.Thirdly,this paper analyzes the integrating point between the core idea of STEM education and the reform of information technology curriculum teaching mode in secondary vocational schools under the guidance of STEM education concept,project teaching method and by way of the adoption of ubiquitous learning method.This paper is expected to construct a brand-new teaching mode of secondary vocational information technology course just through the STEM design of all parts of teaching objectives,teaching contents,teaching conditions and teaching evaluation,etc.The teaching mode reform needs to embody its value through the application of teaching practice.Finally,through the application of integration of information technology course into teaching practice and the evaluation of teaching effect,this paper verifies the effectiveness of the secondary vocational information technology course based on STEM education concept.This paper argues that via the reform of teaching mode in secondary vocational information technology teaching supported by STEM education concept,it is not only helpful for students to master the theoretical knowledge of information technology,but it can also be beneficial to cultivate students' practical ability of information technology,thus promoting the development of students' interest in information awareness,innovative thinking and professional concept.Through the teaching mode reform in secondary vocational information technology curriculum based on STEM education concept,not only can the teaching quality of the secondary vocational information technology classroom be improved,it can also provide advice and suggestions for the teaching of other similar professional courses in secondary vocational schools while meeting the needs of the reform and development of secondary vocational education,which will definitely have certain guiding significance.
