In the information age of mass entrepreneurship and innovation,the internet technology is constantly evolving and the industrial structure is rapidly restructuring and transforming.In such an evolutionary transformation,human resources provide inexhaustible motive power,how to make the talent quality and talent structure meet the needs of China's transformation and development has become one of the important topics in the field of education.In recent years,with the concept of maker education and STEM becoming research hotspots in the field of education,the content of information technology textbooks has not been able to keep up with the development of the times,theoretical knowledge exists in textbooks and cannot be applied in practice.Moreover,in the traditional information technology classroom,it is usually only the teacher teach and students listen,and the teaching content is mainly fixed book knowledge.The knowledge and skills that students have access to are limited,so that their comprehensive operational ability is not high and correspondingly,and innovative thinking and complex problem solving ability are weak.Information technology teaching based on STEM education concept completely changes students'behavioral awareness,so that they are no longer limited to learning basic knowledge,but turn to using information technology to solve problems in life,and gradually begin to pursue innovation,and gradually learn to use information of technology and science,engineering,mathematics and other disciplines are integrated,in this process.Compared with the past,such an educational concept can better meet the development needs of students.This paper reviews the current research status of STEM education at home and abroad,and analyzes the learning characteristics of junior high school students and the feasibility of applying the teaching model based on STEM education concept in middle school information technology courses.Through a questionnaire,the main problems existing in the teaching of information technology courses in junior high schools are analyzed,and the necessity of integrating STEM education concepts into information technology teaching is proposed.Taking the students of the three classes ofjunior high school in the middle school of XX Affiliated Middle School as the research object,the STEM education concept was integrated into the information technology teaching,and the teaching case was designed and implemented.Finally,through the students'satisfaction survey,the students' learning effects and learning ability before and after the experiment were analyzed.Studies have shown that by incorporating STEM education concepts into junior high school information technology teaching,most students can accept and learn this teaching model.It stimulates students'enthusiasm for learning,cultivates the innovative thinking of middle school students,and improves the ability of hands-on operation and team cooperative learning.
