After the reform and opening up,various Western values have gradually entered China and have had a certain impact on our socialist values.Faced with the impact of multiple values,China's ideological and political education has been advancing with the times,responding to challenges,and achieving fruitful results.However,there are still some deficiencies in China's ideological and political education,such as the fact that students' main status has not been fully reflected,the use of dialogue and inquiry methods has been insufficient,and teachers and students lack democracy and equal communication.Faced with deficiencies,we should strive to explore the root causes of these problems,fully tap the theoretical essence of the classic educators,and widely absorb all ideological and political education resources in the world.Dewey is a well-known pragmatist education theorist in the 20th century in the United States.His educational theories and methods can be called the revolutionary "Copernicus"-like transformation.He was hailed as one of the three milestones in the history of Western education;he proposed The core ideas such as the"Student Center","Experience Center" and "Activity Center" are of great significance for innovating China's ideological and political education.Ideological and political education is a complex system composed of elements such as subject,object,mediator,and ring.Dialectically analyzing the achievements and deficiencies of China's ideological and political education,and critically absorbing the relevant ideological achievements of Dewey,has certain reference value for constructing a more practical view of the curriculum,methods,teachers,students and evaluations.For example,the choice of course content should be in line with the students' original knowledge and experience,and the materials that reflect science and life should be taken as the main content of the course;in terms of methods,students should be organized to participate in social activities and explored and discussed in the activities.Ways to improve the students' political judgment ability,and gradually develop the ideological and political education by fully tapping the political functions of other disciplines;in the teacher-student concept,students should be given prominence;the teacher is not only a knowledge imparter,but also a student's mind.The researcher of activities,the organizer of teaching activities,and the guide of students' thinking should be equal,democratic,and cooperative among the teachers and students.In the evaluation view,the creation of problem situations should guide the educators to conduct self-evaluation.Educator's automatic practice serves as the goal of self-evaluation,and puts forward reflection based on practice as a guarantee of self-evaluation...
