Characteristics And Shaping Of The Image Of Disabled Athletes In Online Media

The image of disabled athletes embodies the humanistic characteristics of the country,embodies the theme of different times,and embodies people's profound understanding of the meaning of increasing social tolerance,national humanistic care and striving and enterprising,which not only highlights the spirit of competitive sports,but also shows a country's cultural soft power.Now entering the era of digital media,it provides more ways for athletes to interact with the public,narrowing the distance between athletes and the public.With the improvement of people's attention to the paralympic games,the special group of disabled athletes has gradually entered people's field of vision.Athletes with disabilities began to ride on the Internet media to have the image of this group,and began to have heroes,role models and other diverse perspectives,these images and the public's understanding of their image,feelings and expectations have gradually produced doubts,curiosity,and had a certain social impact.How are the images of disabled athletes portrayed in China's online media? And by what factors?In this paper,content analysis and grounded theory are used to sort,analyze and study the collected data.From 2008 to 2018,489 texts with the theme of "disabled athletes" were selected from online media reports on disabled athletes,and a total of 22 paralympic champions were selected as individual cases.This paper aims to explore the background,influencing factors and development strategies of the formation of public image of disabled athletes in China's online media.The study draws the following conclusions: 1.The definition of the image of China's disabled athletes is the general understanding and evaluation of the public on their behaviors,activities and sports achievements.2.The image characteristics of Chinese disabled athletes include three core dimensions: honor view,victory view and relationship influence.The image features of athletes with disabilities in online media are mainly positive and positive images.The content basically includes striving for glory for the motherland and realizing individual social value.Through self-reliance and self-improvement,the society has a newunderstanding of the group of disabled people and personal efforts to improve family living conditions.3.China's disabled athletes in network media portrayal of the three core categories of Chinese network media public image for the disabled athletes,disabled athletes public influence factors and the speech act and the development of the disabled athletes of the development of network media image,namely the public influence and language behavior,influencing factors and development factors,and build a disabled athletes in network media public image shaping theory model;The language behaviors to shape the image of disabled athletes in Chinese online media include three aspects: language,behavior and attitude,which are also influenced by individuals,relationship groups and environment.4.The development strategy for the image building of disabled athletes in China's online media can also be carried out according to the medium term online media and long-term system management.
