With the increasing concern about corruption,corporate fraud and other untrustworthy behaviors,in the face of such realities,more and more researchers the research on the values of integrity advocated by authentic leadership is also of concern to scholars.Therefore,it's very necessary to exploring the development of authentic leadership in the public sector.At the same time,research has shown that the existence of individual gender stereotypes in organizations will have an impact on the objective evaluation of manager's leadership.So,the relationship between authentic leadership and gender stereotypes has important practical significance for public sector management.Therefore,based on the literature reviewing gender stereotypes and authentic leadership,this study uses social distance,spatial distance and interaction frequency of leader distance as moderator.And focus on the differences between male and female leaders.Firstly,questionnaires were sent to employees in the public sector through online questionnaires.Then use SPSS.22.0 and Excel software to analyze the 314 valid questionnaires.After processing by various data methods,the following research conclusions were obtained.Firstly,there is a positive correlation between masculine gender stereotypes and the evaluation of authentic leadership.Secondly,,although the relationship between the superior and the subordinates and the frequency of interaction didn't play a moderator role,they are important factors influencing the level of authentic leadership of employees.Finally,the individual power distance perception has nothing to do with its evaluation of the leader's^authentic leadership.After discussing and summarizing the whole research results,several suggestions for public sector management practices are put forward based on the research conclusions and the actual situation.Firstly,we should build a good organizational culture to reduce the negative impact of stereotypes.Secondly,we should increase the communication opportunities between members of the organization in the workplace and in private to foster good relations between superiors and subordinates.Thirdly,We should set the appropriate office space distance to reduce the adverse effects of masculine stereotypes.Finally,according to the lack of representativeness of the sample and the limitation of the single variable,this paper proposes to expand the sampling range and improve the representativeness of the sample;broaden the scope of the research and increase the research direction of the improvement opinions of the gender bias research topic.
